Ce que les gens disent
Excellent accommodation, spacious room, ample off street parking,
friendly welcoming staff, we didn't sample the food other than
breakfast, which was excellent, but I'm sure it would have been to
a similar standard. Lovely quiet town with facinating history, plenty
of places to visit nearby, quiet roads thro' beautiful
countryside, good pubs, all in all well worth a visit, pity we
couldn't stay longer!. tous commentaires »
Pleasant helpful staff.
Good sized room with seating
Clock radio very much appreciated. Cups and saucers, in rooms. Teapot for tea good table linen and crockery. Able to choose an Early Breakfast. The roaring fire made the Breakfast room very cheerful on a grey November morning.
The staff were very helpful, particularly when we realised that I'd
mistakenly booked only one night, when we intended two. We ended up in a
different room each night, but that was our fault, not theirs. The rooms
were lovely. Dinner in the restaurant was very good indeed.
Really well organised smallish hotel. Used it to visit Bridgenorth, Ludlow and Shrewsbury, which were fairly close, on 2 night stay. Evening meal excellent for price and service. Rooms we had were spacious/relaxing. We enjoyed our stay there. Staff were great.
Lovely small hotel in a charming country town. Very nice decor with attention to detail, comfortable, nice ambience. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent food. You must try the strawberry jelly and ice cream! Would happily recommend it for a really nice.
We received a warm welcome and the room was excellent ,bed comfortable and TV larger than we normally find in hotel rooms. Bathroom spacious and well equipped. Bar and restaurant warm and friendly. all staff a delight to talk with and very helpful. .
Everything about our stay was perfect. The room was very comfortable and clean. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was first class. The location is second to none. I would highly recommend The Raven at Much Wenlock.
Fantastic location in centre of village. Character of hotel buildings, felt safe and secure for children. Staff showed considerable flexibility and understanding of needs for rooms for children and disabled family members.
Very friendly staff looked after us very well despite having to cope with very severe snow. Pleasant room in fitting with the age of the property. Food and drink came to £40 per head, which is good for the quality.
The Staff were extreemly friendly and helpful and were great with our one year old daughter. The facilities were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return.
Warm friendly service in a country hotel reflecting the best of English character. The restaurant menu and presentation was par excellence! And the first time I slept on a 4-poster!.
A welcoming host, good bed and linen, helpful staff, walk to good pubs and situated in a beautiful village. Historic building, within minutes of 2 heritage listed attractions.
The comfort of our room - both in actual comfort but also in the warm selection of light and colour.
The bathroom's facilities were excellent too.
The staff were excellent.
The hotel staff were most welcoming and helpful; the room was great ,the food was excellent- altogether a most enjoyable stay.
Everything worked as it should.
Location! Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed & well appointed room.
Food very good. Shropshire Lad on draught is excellent!.
The history and antiquity of the building, it was also well looked after and clean. Very close proximity to town centre.
Quiet location in a very friendly little town surrounded by beautiful
countryside. Comfortable well appointed room.
We have stayed here on a number of occasions.
It is very comfortable and clean and the staff are very welcoming.
The location is wonderful, a quiet idyllic village with a historic abbey, lovely bookshops and a friendly feel.
The hotel was good to excellent in all respects. We found it extremely relaxing and enjoyed our family room.
Lovely hotel, beautifully furnished room, staff very pleasant, food excellent, could not fault it at all.
Relaxed hotel, comfortable, very good position in town centre of small town. Quiet. Lovely food. Casual.
Service was both professional and personal. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
Size of the room, which was well presented, the helpful attitude of the employees and the location.
Hotel room was lovely and clean. Staff were very friendly and breakfast
was great.
Lovely, comfortable room, friendly, efficient staff and first class food.
An excellent bedroom, excellent food and friendly and efficient staff.
The log fires
The high quality breakfast

Lovely warm welcoming hotel, excellent staff.

Hotel and staff.
Location.
Food!.
the evening meal was very good breakfast was good but not too adventureous .room was comfortable and clean.staff were friendly and helpful.
Comfortable room. Lovely soft bed. Good shower Lovely location in the village.
A bit overwhelmed by the rich red all over wall paper but it did make the room warm and cosy.
Not the hotel's fault, but Much Wenlock is a quiet small town. Not much to do at night, even on a Saturday. Bars closed very early, especially so Sunday. Mini bar would have been useful. All in all , glad we went....Maybe Bridgenorth or Ludlow better for those that like a bit more nightlife.
The first room I was allocated was obviously one that had not yet been updated, and while perfectly good, felt dated and the red wallpaper was a bit overpowering. My parents were in a room that had been re-done so I realised that not all rooms were the same. However on request, they happily moved me to a really lovely room.
Having to leave for home.
Showers rather than baths would have been better for disabled guests.
Interior could do with a little TLC in places.
The height of the bath would be difficult for my wife to climb over.
Nothing.
The dining room had an "old fashioned" atmosphere of being "proper" and a bit stilted. The food was excellent but again served with a certain nouvelle cuisine restraint on the plate.
Would suggest a grab -handle above the bath for the benefit of the "more mature".
Some rooms are out of wifi range.
Only a la carte menu available at weekends - £28 for two courses!
Room decor was tired & very dark!.
Nothing! It was a fantastic hotel.
Flat screen tv was a decent size but made a high pitched noise while on
standby. Tiles around the bath need to be repaired and regrouted or
better yet, replaced with more modern tiles.
Guests at the Raven need to make sure they book an evening meal at the same time as their room. I haven't spotted a warning to this effect online and the restaurant is obviously popular. The Raven need to decide whether they are a restaurant or a hotel as we won't be the only guests disappointed not to be able to dine, regardless of the status of our booking. Staff were impassive when we expressed our disappointment.
We thought the food was a little expensive and didn't like the menu too much. But breakfast was excellent. We ate evening meals elsewhere in the town.
Set menu for the main restaurant was over priced.
Nothing not to like.
Breakfast. It was the worst hotel breakfast we have ever experienced.
Bedroom and bathroom decor needed updating. Shower head too low down had to crouch to get full use of it.
Meals of average standard.
bed mattress was not firm enough.
Not enough parking and pillows were not good.
Hotel A little tired and breakfast was good food but not value for money.
Food.
Potion control breakfast.
The room was shabby & in need of refurbishment.
Thought the prices very high in the bar. A la carte menu highly priced and not such good value for money Quite a lit if confusion and delay with our meal.
