Ce que les gens disent
Everything! The room was lovely, the bed was so comfy with sumptuous pillows. Very peaceful at night. Bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower. As we did not want to drive out in the evening for meals, we dined at the Hambro and were not disappointed, the meals were excellent and the service was good. Mark, the manager was a great host and he looked after his guests superbly. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area in the future. tous commentaires »
A wonderful place to stay , beautiful accommodations, warm welcoming staff , situated in the precious village of Milton Abbas with a footpath access to the hidden gem of Milton Abbey surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds . The inn is so very charming with good food , beers and wine . Lovely stay highly recommend to anyone touring this are or a longer stay .
The Hambro Arms is set in one of the most beautiful villages in UK. The welcome is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable the food is excellent. What is there not to like. I recommend this hotel to anyone who likes an English pub with great accommodation and food.
This pub is full of character and charm, as are the staff and indeed is
the village. Given a talk on the pubs history on arrival really set the
scene for a great stay. Room comfortable and clean and very quaint, it
oozed history. Great beer and food too.
We loved the setting and style of the Hambro, the white washed walls and thatched rooves of the hotel and village cottages are beautiful. It has lots of great features and is full of character.
The food was great and the bed was very comfortable.
Very interesting location. Right in the middle of picture perfect village and close to historic Abbey and mansion. Wonderful welcome from Mark. Room price OK for where you are. Good stop off for the south coast if you are travelling a long way.
loved the location. Certainly for us it was central to the places we wanted to visit. Wonderful atmosphere in the inn, friendly & all staff very helpfull. We slept soundly & really liked the quirky nature of the room.
Old world charm renovated to a suitable & modern standard. Food in restaurant was excellent! Kings Room a delight! Thoroughly recommend to anyone wishing to experience old world charm at its finest.
Very welcoming. All staff were wonderful. Especially Mark who was exceptional and offered a very personal service going the extra mile making sure our needs were met during our stay.
Spectacular views, it is typical “chocolate-Box Village”, most beautiful surroundings.
Rooms were very nice, very comfortable, food was excellent.
Have already booked for next year.
Comfortable rural/country pub environment. Very cosy set in picturesque village - away from it all. Meals good quality although a little pricey. Room well appointed and clean.
The village and surrounding countryside was idyllic. The room was very comfortable and luxurious and the English breakfast as good as you could want. Very friendly staff.
Beautiful location in a picturesque Dorset village . Very friendly locally managed pub with 4 rooms and excellent food.
Comfortable rooms with newly fitted bathroom.
The whole package that the Hambro Arms offers is excellent. Beautiful setting, comfort, relaxing atmosphere, excellent food, good service and excellent staff.
what a lovely cosy Hotel set in beautiful village countryside location Food and furnishing excellent couldnt fault my stay there.
The room the staff the meals and the small village , certainly a place to tick off if you have a list of places to see in the UK.
Fabulous location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice and quite, beautiful room, everything we wanted from a weekend break.
Great location, good food and excellent service with attentive staff. I
stayed in room 4 which had a sofa which was a plus.
The bar and kitchen staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was excellent all in all a very nice Pub for a break.
Real get away from it all kind of place, Old Friendly Inn, Americans would call it quaint !.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Excellent food.
Room was very comfortable.

Nice welcome
Bar food good
Breakfast good.
Good quiet location in a lovely village.
The village setting and friendliness.
Everything and will always go back.
Location in historic village.
everything.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms are characterful and
comfortable within the limits of a Grade 2 listed building. The area was
quiet and very beautiful.
Quiet area. Clean quirky room with comfortable bed. Super extra large breakfast. Staff very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and pub.
Nothing!.
There is not one thing I would change.
Stairs to the room. I guess being Australian we are not used to stairs.
Though food really tasty and clearly fresh and locally sourced it was
just a bit too 'Gastro pub' or gourmet for our liking. Is that a
complaint? No, definately not, just not what we would choose. And it
definately will not stop us visiting again!!.
Nothing.
Food and drink expensive and nothing else close by but we simply considered this has to be the case to keep places like this going. It's a one night only place in my book.
En-suite could have done without the bath & just had a shower. Bath very difficult to get in/out of. This may be why in a recently refurbished room the bath panel was hanging off!! Plumbing was rather strange & very noisy in Capability.
Nothing. Everything was perfect!.
nothing, can not fault it.
Details for booking in times confused - resulted in two visits to hotel as advised locked between 3 & 6pm? - booking details advised 2-10pm check in - best check but note no mobile network on O2 in village!.
Dinner was inconsistent and expensive with mean portions, surprising compared to the first class breakfast. A bland crab cake, a first class moules mariniere although a very small portion, about 20 moules and the wrong kind of chips. Should be frites not wedges.First class cheese plate.
We only stayed the one night should have at least two.
no dislikes.
As the weather was very cold during my stay, it was lovely to have a big
bathroom but it was very cold with only a heated towel rail to heat the
room. However, the bathroom warmed up once the hot water kicked in when
you used the shower.
Hot water supply a bit slow other than that nothing to moan about.
Ok for us but you would need a car unless you are use to walking for many miles.
Dinner menu - not enough choice.
Nothing.
Arrived at 5 15 still could not raise the dead behind a locked door at 6 pm went to Blanford forum to find another hotel
20 min drive decided to come back and give a second chance.
Working breakfast not till 8.30.
Lot of stairs, inadequate menu, needs privacy curtains in ensuites, needs fruit on the breakfast menu.
nothing.
Breakfast. Full English breakfast available, but limited cereal no fruit or yogurt.
Noise penetration from the downstairs pool bar.
(Only really affects you though if you want an early night).
The food was disappointing considering the price. One room had a broken
shower which we reported, and whilte the owner was apologetic we were
not offered any compensation. The breakfasts were mostly adequate apart
from two very solid poached eggs on the last morning.
No negatives.
