The host Yvonne was very friendly and gave us the royal treatment! We were very impressed when upon arrival she gave us a breakdown of the activities we could do in Kendal and we like the breakfast arrangement whereby she would ask what time we wanted breakfast and exactly what we wanted to have!! It felt just like home. Stuart is a great cook. Breakfast was delicious!
The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was bigger than some other places we had been to. Quiet, convenient location and . tous commentaires »
Situated in a quite part of the town with adequate street parking and a nice view of the river. An excellent full breakfast with other alternatives offered. Good for local shopping with a retail outlet opposite (just over the river) and Kendal town centre a short walk away. Close to bus stop for trips to e.g. Windermere/Ambleside or Lancaster if you don't want to drive). Owners and staff friendly and helpful. Wi-fi available and used. Plenty of restaurants available locally some with good earl.
Delightful experience. Lyndhurst is well located as a base to explore the Lakes District. It is 10 minutes by taxi from Oxenholme Station. Hosts were charming and very helpful. They gave us a lot of information and background colour to the area. Accommodation is very comfortable with wonderful showers. Excellent breakfasts. We strongly recommend this B&B.
A lovely friendly place. Everyone really friendly and helpful. Yvonne was lovely and gave good advice on where to eat and where not!!! It may not have been a modern place but the hospitality more than made up for it. Would go back for sure. The porridge breakfast deserves a special mention it is just right to set you up for the day and last all the way through!!!.

Lyndhurst Guest House is in easy walking distance of the centre of Kendal and there is a pleasant path that follows the River Kent to take you there. This river faces you as you come out of the front door and it makes it easy to orientate yourself in this historic small town. There is a shopping centre on the far side of the river on the site of the former shoe factory. It is possible to park for free close to the B & B. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Location - could walk into centre. Plenty of parking.
easy access to explore kendal.
Friendly staff.
Possision.
Location.
Size of rooms and en-suite limited by age and style of building.
Nothing ,it was all good for us.
Parking wasn't all that good especially in the day.
nothing.
parking could be a problem at busy times.
nothing.
Cant fault this guest house.
Most of the pubs stop serving food by 7 pm. Room smaller than expected.
Very busy traffic at times. Lots of pubs in Kendal stop serving food by 7 pm midweek.
Tricky parking
Internet very slow.
nothing.
Steep stairs to room.
Room smaller then expected.
En-suite was slightly cramped.
small room small bathroom small tv two flights of stairs to attic room view over the rooftops .
Cramped room.
very small room, at top of house.
Room was a labelled a 'double' but was barely a 'single'. Old squeaky mattress, TV was an old cathode ray tube with NO reception. Ensuite was so narrow you had to keep the door open to brush your teeth (and we are both slim). Breakfast times had to be staggered and you had to decide what you wanted for breakfast 15 hours before you ate.
