Ce que les gens disent
Handy for train station to Glasgow. Very helpful and efficient staff particularly reception and cleaners.
Plenty of staff on for all jobs in the hotel so no waiting for service. Rooms tho' small are well equiped and clean. Have used for family visits and meals for over 18 years. So have seen rooms receiving re-fits during the various visits as they can get tired - but the owners seem to keep on top of this aspect. Indeed the public lounge bar was being refurbished during the last visit and it s. tous commentaires »
Everything. The rooms were small but had everything you needed.
The staff were locals so very pleasant, friendly and helpful and the night porter was fantastic.. The hotel is situated in a very nice location, 5 mins from train station...
We have recommended this hotel to friends and family and are planning our next stay...
The staff were so friendly i felt at ease as soon as i walked through the door. the room was gorgeous and so comfortable. the en suite had a power shower, which was just amazing. the service was quick and brilliant. i would recommend this hotel and i hope to be back hopefully for a longer stay next time.
Excellent location for travelling into Glasgow city centre with a ½ hourly train service or a very frequent bus service. Also if you have a car the country side was only a few minutes away. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome at the hotel.
Convenience of location whith ample parking and readily available piublic conveyance.
STAFF exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Service was excellent and staff very friendly and welcoming. A pleasure
to stay there.
Pub and bar in the hotel. Tv selection, outdoor picnic tables, complimentary breakfast.
the small size avoided the mile-long trudges to public rooms.
Staff were very friendly and keen to help. Good breakfast.

Attitude of Staff.
Friendliness.
Friendly staff cleanliness of room.
room decor bar cum dining ok.
Staff were very good.
Price.
Given the very good value for money, friendly staff, family friendly - and good solid food such as breakfast there is little room for complaint.
From Glasgow city centre the hotel is classed as being over the border so if traveling by " hailed" taxi you have to pay a border fee..But if you phone for the taxi this cost is waved...
The hotel is next to a railway line with trains passing from early morning until midnight. Having said that after the 1st train in the morning passed I didn't notice the others and had a good sleep.
getting a taxi to go out was easy but trying to get a taxi to take you back to the hotel was a nightmare and cost two and a half times what we paid to go to the same destination.
Reception: not always someone available.
A safe would be a useful addition to the bedroom facilities.
i personally did'nt think the breakfast was as good as it should have been i.e. i asked for no beans and usually i would have been offered an extra portion of musrooms or another egg, potato scone was burnt on black on one side, there were only 4 mushrooms, and the square sausage was really overcooked...i would like to say i'm NOT complaining just making an observation.
It was all good :).
Fixtures in the toilet were old.
the nearby train line and train noise(but only during the day).
Rooms were quite dated with poor decor and furniture.
The beds were uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise during the night, with doors banging and people shouting. The staff stated they had 2 party's gooing on that night ?.
When I booked online I didn't see a room that had disabled facilities ie; rails in bathroom etc.
Do you have a room for disabled at the Burnside?.
Although we enjoyed our evening meal we did find the full breakfast very greasy but there were plenty of other options. Something wrong if you went away hungry.
A bit hard to find if you don't know the area.
loose headboards ,torn seating in bar area ,.
bed to small.
really needs an upgrade really old interiors in rooms and noise from adjoining rooms is unbearable, and the trains , track beside bedrooms !!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Poor Admin.
Closeness of main road and railway.
Problem locking door on original room,we were moved to next door
room(which had been updated/decorated) so better room but then found
original room key fitted new room too. No towel rail in bathroom
Breakfast mediocre.
food the evening was ruined for myself and my wife 2 hours after eating at the hotel i was seriously ill with sickness diarrhoea which lasted most of the night a complaint was lodged with rhe management.
very close to the railway line, trains start at 5am.
WIFI is not working on WindowsPhone mobile.
Entrance area carpeting.
Trains almost coming thru the bedroom.
