Had a fantastic time. Staff made you feel welcome and were hugely helpful. Food was out of this world, would recommend it to family and friends. Will absolutely be back. The general atmosphere was like being welcomed to the family hearth, and this warmth was extended through the service provided by the owner and staff. We thought the rowan hotel was a lovely quaint cosy hotel and the food was amazing. Would definately stay again!!. Lovely area, quiet rooms, good fire and relaxing atmosphere. Super food and friendly relaxed staff. The friendliness of the staff, the welcoming atmosphere and an excellent breakfast. Beautiful setting, cosy room, friendly staff and excellent food. The Staff were fantastic... Friends more than staff.. All staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent.room was comfortable and the food was excellent. The friendly people and the excellent food. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The food and friendly atmosphere. Great food and service. The food is excellent and priced reasonably. Service also very good. The location is just outside of town so need a car to get to mountains, but means it is quieter. Highly recommended. A great family run hotel.Fantastic Location for exploring the Highlands, Excellent Breakfast, Pleasant Interiors with a homely feel. Good hotel, comfortable and at a reasonable cost. The breakfasts and friendly service. The choice of breakfast was great, especially the salmon.Homely atmosphere. Friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation. Our bedroom was perfectly fine for just the one night we stayed but next time will book the larger room. We booked late and were lucky to get a reservation. Hotel is great, and the location is absolutely ideal if you have a car to get into Aviemore, otherwise it would be difficult to get about. Perhaps this could be noted in your website description? Loch Alvie is about 2-3 miles out of Aviemore township..The only thing for me personally was the stairs up to my room which made me quite breathless as I have a disabled badge for my bad chest , but the room was worth the climb !. Shower hot/cold water was dificult to regulate.Having to book evening meal and compete with outside bookings for mealtime slots.
