Fell View - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
I loved the location, I loved the b&b, we had everything we needed
and more. Gorgeous young family running fell view, cutest kids, 3 little
girls. Didnt hear them once whilst in our room, was embarassed, my one
yr old daughter was noisier.
our first time at the lake district, was a perfect holiday. will definately be going back to fellview.
breakfast was plentiful, couple were really helpful and welcoming

Simon and Lisa were wonderful hosts and took care of every need. The room was lovely, spacious and had every amenity. We especially enjoyed the fancy coffee machine just outside the room and the free parking space they offered, as parking in Ambleside comes at a premium. It's merely steps away from all shops and restaurants. A huge bowl of fruit, plenty of brochures and a fridge waited for us in our cozy breakfast nook. Our 3 days there were just lovely.
- very friendly welcome
- DVD library great idea
- lots of info provided, proper guide books to the area not just the usual leaflets
- great breakfasts. Lots of choice provided you aren't after a cooked breakfast (actually i don't know if they do a cooked breakfast or not, was happy enough with the buffet always laid out)
- surprisingly quiet location as is very central.
A fabulous warm welcome. Lovely large bedroom with a view of the fell. Comfortable bed. Lots of hot water for a relaxing shower after a day on the fells. Excellent continental breakfast with a wide choice of food. The owner, Lisa, was helpful and chatty. She made us a flask of coffee to take on the hills each day at no extra cost. Extremely good value for money.
Very friendly couple run this B&B. We were very impressed with all the little extra touches. dvds, wi, toiletries, mints in room. Breakfast was continental and there was still a very large selection to choose from. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely room, lovely owners. Great facilities and good location, right next door to a shop and 2 minute walk to pubs and restaurants. Great choice at breakfast. Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Amazing view from our room!.
Very friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. Room had everything we needed, comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced in comparison to other B&Bs in the area.
The staff were very friendly and happy to share local knowledge. Rooms were a good size and there was a great selection for breakfast.
convenient location, lovely well-decorated bedroom, huge choice of food for a continental breakfast! Friendly, helpful staff.
The playstation and fridge. The breakfast was good and it was a spacious room. It was value for money.
The family were very friendly especially Lisa. The views were amazing right in the middle of town.
Quietness of the room/area. Welcome of the owners, who were very helpfull.
Very friendly staff, very helpful, excellent location, real value for money.
Really good. Friendly owners. Rooms were charming. Brilliant location.
Friendly family atmosphere
The extras - tv, sky, wii, tea, coffee.
lots of choice at breakfast. friendly owners.
Liked everything.
Had a lovely weekend.
Staff, location, comfortable, homely.
Big clean room, comfortable bed.
The location, the room.
Location
Facilities.
Right in the centre of town.
The weather...hahahaha.
A minor problem with the television. The dining room was quite small.
could just do with thicker curtains when the sun rises early.
Unfortunately the car parking is a pain. There is a long stay car park approx 5 minutes walk from the hotel but you can't pay for longer than 10 hours during the day so had to keep returning.
Some areas of the room were a little shabby and could do with a revamp.
Toilet could do with an upgrade.
none.
End on the bed - not as suitable for taller people.
bedroom A bit tight on room.
Nothing.
Quite poor breakfast.
Absolutely filthy room above a newsagents. Room hadn't been
vaccuumed in weeks. Various different coloured hairs in the bed, stained
carpets and soft furnishings.Rotting fruit in the breakfast baskets and
cooked meats left uncovered. Parking is also a game of 'beat the
traffic warden' or pay £9 per day. These people have a lot to learn!.
Not good value for money
£50 per night with no breakfast is a bit much
Not clean, 1 dirty old bath towel, the bathroom clearly had not been cleaned before mg arrival. Very noisy with owners young children right next door. Won't be going again.
