There was drinking water supplied just outside th rooms. The size of the room was reasonably ok for the price that i paid. The lift on every level was good as we need not have to carry the bags up. There were 2 "chuan" food restaurand and 1 BBQ (japanese) restaurant just beside the hostel. -
The staff were really nice, genuine and happy to help.

We stayed in a superior room. The bed was really comfy with 4 pillow - 2 harder, 2 smooshier. There was a Japanese style toilet. The mini fridge with complementary water bottles was a nice feature as was the hot water kettle with the indecipherable buttons.
There was a good sized balcony and a safe which we did not use.
Breakfast had a surprisingly decent and wide variety of selections.
The neighbourhood was pretty quiet, but had some stuff going on.

I have read all the reviews before booking. I am sitting here now in the hotel writing this review. Since most of the stuff have been said, I am not going to reinvent the wheel but just give you some low down pointers
1. A majority of boutique hotels are located in "lanes". So don't expect a fancy big entrance. Nonetheless they are very good, incl

2.I have done -
The hotel is situated in a neighborhood that has practically everything that a budget and/or business traveller would need as it is clustered with many food outlets, near to Chungshan MRT Station (5-10 minutes on foot) and within 10-15 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station.
We stayed a total of four split-nights as we used this hotel as our base to leave our larger luggages when we went out of Taipei to Hualien and Sun Moon Lake for one night each.

Booked a deluxe room but upgraded to a suite, impressed with the friendliness of front desk staff, spacious room and bath, free mini bar, airport transfer(from hotel) plus its close proximity to subway station, will definitely stay at this hotel if coming to Taipei again! -

The location is perfect in Zhongshan area. Short walk to MRT station and many nice eateries and shopping, and yet quiet enough for a relaxing stroll in the area. Like most reviewers, the one thing that might put you off is the lobby in which it's a shared one with people who live in the same building. What it means is that the hotel doesn't occupy the entire building. It starts from 8th floor.
The lobby looks old and doesn't give you a very good impression.
However, once you arrive on 8th floor, you will be nicely surprised that this is indeed a rather proper hotel. It's also very close to Zhongsan station. It costs only NT$20 for a one way trip to Xim

I like almost everything about the hotel, from the design of the room, the lighting, to the comfort of the bed. Rooms are clean. The staffs are friendly and willing to assist us. What I like most is the location of the hotel where food and shopping is just a few steps away :) -

It is a small family owned inn (about 20 rooms). The boss, his wife and daughter were very friendly and sincere. They brought breakfast (very nice sandwiches and soya bean drinks) for the guests when their kitchen helper fell sick. The boss was very helpful in providing direction and suggestions for the places to visit.

Very friendly staff. Greeted with a smile and top class service provided. If you are unsure where to go or what to do, staff can recommend places of interest, even writing up an itinerary for you. Rooms are very clean and the bigger rooms are massive with two double beds and very suitable for family. Also, not far from daqiaotou mrt, straight bus to ximending, walking distance to ningxia night market. Five star services without the five star price. Wifi is pretty fast too!

Staff members are very helpful and efficient especially the concierge and house keeping staff members. This was the third occasion that I stayed at W Taipei. I will definitely stay at W Taipei on my next visit.

The location: right beside Main Station. Small, but clean rooms. One big compliment for the extremely helpful staff: they were going out of their way to help us: a typhoon raged in Taiwan when we were there and we needed information what to do with flights and bookings and staff there made phone calls for us and helped us with cryptic websites. Thanks guys!
