no need to drive up to davos as the hotel is situated right across from the train station. the hotel is very stylish and a 5 minute walk from the city centre and jakobshorn funicular station. the rooms are very cozy and the beds very comfortable. on my last stay I had a smaller bathroom then usual. Superb design and top quality restaurants. Service is really good. If you like hiking, they even provide a proper backpack for you to use, in case you dont have one or it isnt suited for that.
Lovely lovely place. It is more expensive than the average around, but totally worth it.

We loved the beautiful wooden style of the hotel and rooms along with the family owned feeling. The food in the restaurant La Clav was delicious and the breakfast buffet was very generous.
The spa and swimming pools were very nice and relaxing.

Centrally located, the hotel is recently renovated. The receptionist speaks good English and is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and tastefully appointed, featuring even a jacuzzi bathtub. We had a superior suit with a magnicent view of the hills. Two-thumbs up. -

Hotel Bernina1865 is definitely the best hotel during our visit in Switzerland. My dad and I were planned to stay in St.Moritz; however, we found it too expensive to stay there. The family receptionists! When we arrived dogged tired at 10pm, we were greeted warmly by the elder of the Stamatakis brothers and shown to our nice, comfortable and warm looking room. We were very surprised by the gesture because this is the first time happening for us since we are in a budget tour. The hotel is modern looking yet retain the feel of the past. It has a old lift and a nice grand restaurant with windows with mountain views. Don't forget to ask for the free passes accessing the
