  very clean, very well maintained place, nice garden. large rooms, comfy beds, nice air-con. good food. very friendly manager - AJIT who looks after you very well. - Boat ride in Lake & Turtle farm, clean pristine beaches.

  Mangrove Villa is a unique getaway from most other places. With only 6-7 rooms, it is private and far away from touristy traps. Situated on the side of the river and home to King Fishers and lazy Water Monitors, I could relax and refresh myself. My favourite place was sitting by the river and watch the river go by..... Be prepared to enjoy tasty and healthy traditional Sri Lankan - very quiet and isolated location, a bit of a distance to the nearest village or the beach. Hotel has its own tuktuk though. Very clean, though the non-A/C cottage I rented was rather basic. Very good food, and a very friendly and helpfull owner. An excellent choice for those who look for a quiet and peaceful retreat on the banks of the river Bentota.
