  Lovely location right next to the Catheral in the old town. Hotel was a typical parador - a beautiful old building lovely turned into a hotel. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent - I highly recommend the foie gras and the duck! - It was the first stop on our Pyrenees car tour.   It would be difficult to find a more charming place to stay in the heart of the Rioja wine country. A wonderful atmosphere in a building dating from the 1700's, beautifully decorated and filled with lovely furniture. Not a pretty town, but ideally located for the heart of La Rioja region. Fantastic owners who were very knowledgable and generous with their time. I have put this little hotel into my sat- nav memory!

  We loved everything about our stay here. The hotel room, the living areas we were welcome to lounge in, the dining room, all were 100% comfort and charm. The town was tiny, ancient and fascinating. It was central to the vineyards, wineries, beautiful countryside drives and within a few feet of the hotel was the river Ebro and a wonderful river wal... ce que les gens disent » king trail. We could have stayed l - Brinas is a very pretty historic village in Rioja and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel, decorated with murals and antique funiture, to anyone looking for somewhere unique to stay. (once a Palace the property was used as Headquarter of the Italian Troops during the Spanish Civil War.) The staff are very helpful (coming out to our car with an umbella as we arrived during an unbelievable summer storm!!) This was our second visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed.

Tapas with wine tasting were great. Breakfasts were amazing and the best we've experienced in Spain. Rooms tastefully decorated, with locally made quilts and other crafts to creat a cozy welcoming atmosphere. But if you are looking for spas & business centers, this isn't for you.

Loads of secure parking and free wifi in the hotel, very comfortable and a lovely fresh breakfast. It has been tastefully renovated in a modern style. The facilities in the hotel are excellent. There is a good restaurant next door which unfortunately is only open on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. We like the fact that it is pet friendly, which is unusual in a hotel of this quality.
