We were happily surprised. It is a low profile hotel. No grand entrance, but home like. The room was spacious, clean, newly styled, comfortable with a wonderful balcony view of the city. The hotel is about a block away from a beautiful archway and walkway, not covered on the bus tours. The neigherhood is safe and there is life going on up until 2:00 a.m., but it does not disturb the guests. We loved it. This hotel can accomodate those with who walk with a cane/walker. This place is in the heart of Eixample in a very nice area. We had a superior room with a nice balcony to the main road (it is quite noisy even at night, but if you use earplugs there is no problem). I think the hostel is very well located, its very easy to travel inside the city, because its very close to the metro and main streets.Also you can find pharmacy,restaurants,shopping markets just beside.The owner of the hostel is a very kind,helpful and warm couple. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Hostel's balcony was really good to have breakfast. Calm and warm environment you feel like your home. Hope to come again, I absolutely recommend this hostel.

We stayed in 20 hotels over a 6 week trip through Spain. While we stayed in many good hotels we would rank this the best place we stayed in. Very friendly, owner, excellent facilities and an excellent restaurant associated with this quite small hotel. We would highly recommend the half pension option. Very helpful and friendly owner (example: we could eat lunch after lunchtime), great food - we definitely recommend bed and breakfast option, it's worth it. Room cosy and clean - as comfortable as 3* hotel, but in no hotel you'll get as nice service:). Wi-Fi works well.
