This is a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Surrounded by mountains on three sides with far reaching views across the countryside. Fantastic peaceful location tucked away in the foothills.
A great get away from it all holiday destination. Rooms are really lovely. The only comment I would make is that the location wouldn't be suited to those less able to walk due the rustic nature of paths. Fantastic food. Will go back again without doubt.

Cet hôtel est absolument magnifique, les jardins les bâtiments les équipements tout est parfait. Le calme, le paysage, les tenanciers de l'établissement sont très charmants. C'est un endroit idéal pour se reposer et profiter de la nature. Il est recommander de louer une voiture afin de pouvoir découvrir cette magnifique île!

Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre. Excellent stay, everything's organised for families with (small) children. Very friendly staff, always willing to help. There was a small error in my booking (got a room without a bath), but was fixed the next day. Two buffet restaurants that do their best to serve different kind of food everyday, quality was good and plenty of choice. -

Lovely clean hotel with helpfull staff, breakfast was great especially squeezing your own orange juice. Had a room facing the mountains, although not sea view the mountain view was great, really refreshing. The balcony was large so drinks in the evening was relaxing. Staff were great and very accommadating booking restaurants etc specially for the surrounding areas.
One street away from the beach and in a fairly quiet location.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was clean , well ran , friendly and one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The food was excellent and plenty of variety. The rooms were cleaned daily. Clean towels when needed. The hotel was not in a noisy location which was nice late evening if you want to enjoy an early night .

The peace and tranquility of the hotel was the outstanding feature - it was so lovely and relaxing to laze around all day or to come back to after a busy day out. The staff were excellent - all very friendly and attentive, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were lucky to be upgraded to the Royal Suite - a touch of real luxury! -

We choose to stay in the Annex and the room was very good, cosy with a very pleasant little terrace. The location is close to the great Playa de Muro and well located to visit the north of the island. The car is a must.
