  Excellent place to stay, offering fantastic value for money. Very spacious room with comfortable double bed, extra single bed and a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom was ample size with powerful shower, nice toiletries and the very useful touch of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste (great as we had forgotten these!) We arrived at midnight and the lady who greeted us at reception was very friendly - Comfort, warm welcome, very clean and very cute decoration. i appreciated the books available to read, the warm in the room...i was there for a concert so it was the perfect hotel and made my stay and weekend in Madrid PERFECT.   El hostal es muy cerca del Palacio, fuimos a ver un concierto y el hostal fue ideal, 5 minutos andando. el personal genial, muy majos. The hostal is really close to the Palacio, ideal if you are going to watch a concert as it's only a short walk. the staff are lovely, very friendly. - Ideal to visit palacio vistalegre .   The location is really good, next to a subway station, only 5-10 min walk. Also near you have 3 supermarkets to buy food, fruit etc, some bars and a Burger King. Rooms are clean and neat. The man at the reception doesn't speak English but is very pleased when you talk Spanish to him. The girls from reception - Maria and Elena -were very hospitable and friendly and both deserve a certain salary increase. Rooms are not much specious but always clean and tidy. The hotel itself is renewed build recently and you can see it at once.
