  The hotel is very basic but excellent value for money and reception is staffed 24 hrs a day. The staff were great - friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything worked well.   Liked this place from the moment I walked in. Beautiful old Spanish building, relaxed atmosphere, very clean, neat design combined with friendly helpful staff and those great beds were a pleasure to sleep on. Highly recommended! - Very friendly staff with quite a quaint feeling to the place. Will come again for a more social function! For the cash-tight introvert (me), recommend coming with a friend during off-season and staying for a few days; eat food from the market nearby and enjoy the sights.

  I needed an economical place to stay for a 15 hour layover in Barcelona. I also wanted to be fairly close to everthing so I could take one last look before leaving Spain. The Pension Francia room was perfect: spacious and clean with good amenities at an excellent price. The location is great as it is walking distance to Port Vell, Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona Cathedral. Barcelona Zoo, El Born, Bari Gotic, Musee P - I love this hotel, it's simpel and clean ! I think it's the 5th time that I stayed here, and I'm always very happy here. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly. Location is great, and the price quality is very good I think. Will definitly return ! Good internet connection.

Our room was really modern and exceptionally clean with a balcony overlooking las ramblas. Excellent value for money, especially as we got one large room for four of us. Excellent rapport prix/ localisation. Quartier actif juste derrière le MACBA et le CCCB. Rue en pleine transformation. Chambre calme % extérieur.
