  I was back here in Barcelona for my last day in Spain. Impressed by another excellent experience at Onix. Excellent staff. Special thanks to the young man at reception for being thoughtful and always willing to help.   The room was minimalistic (in the design sense) and very nice. It also was very clean. The location of the hotel was awesome: right next to the Arc of Triumph (of Barcelona) and a subway station, and a few blocks away of the most interesting places for shopping, going out at night and sightseeing (except for the Gaudí buildings: La Pedrera, La Sag... ce que les gens disent » rada Familia, etc., which aren't that near (not too far either)). - great location, very friendly staff, wonderful rooms well equipped... Best place to stay where in the front you have bus stop, metro station, a nice park to relax, restaurants... Simply great!

  The bed was of really good quality, and the linen was also. Great to get into a comfy bed after the day in such a a great city. Sowes/toilets always in good condition and enough to share with the few guests staying. Microwav/fridge in hallway leading to a small terrace which is good for chilling out.. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.

  Good location. Friendly owners. Nice design. Big balcony where you can sit with your friends or family members and look at the street throught the big windows. There are some good coffees near the hotel, 100 metres, where you can have a breakfast and dinneer. Nice places. - Staff is very helpful and friendly.   The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings. Everything in the apartment was not new, but it was clean ... ce que les gens disent » and everything was functioning well - cold/hot water, electricity. The hostesses, Maria and Martina, were very nice and helpful. Living in this real b - The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready

  Great place. This is old building with very high ceiling and a lot of air, with beautiful old (18th century original or looking original) style decor on walls and ceiling. The porch has two big stairs and elevator is typical for this old buildings - with manual doors and small metal cage. Our room has great balcony with street view. As for the room it was clean, bed was - It's rather a budget one, but the location is very good, very close not only to Plaza Catalunya but also to Parc de la Cuitadella. A very interesting atmosphere of an old house, with once rather luxurious wooden decorations, now a little bit aging, but still alluring. The rooms are small but clean. A word of advice: go for a "superior room" with the balcony. It's an essential feature for a beautiful late night session after you have enjoyed full day in the city.
