  Only one staff members was really unfriendly, but others apologized for his behavior. Perfect location, great overall staff, and cute rooms with great atmosphere. Bathrooms were never a problem in our side of the hostel altnought the inside rooms may have lacked hot water sometimes. The cleaner man was so nice and friendly and was always working hard to keep the place nice and clean. The lady - Location of the hostel is good as quite close to the city centre. You can reach the Rambla street just walking and it takes you around 20 minutes. There is also a metro station near the hostel so can see further districts of Barcelona taking one of the line. Our room was big with a comfortable bed and a small tv that was quite nice. There was also a quite working fan that we found to be very useful espacially at hot night as did not affect your sleep.   The apartments are not central but conveniently located close to two metro stations, which is on the same line as many of the tourist attractions. The furnishings are basic but everything is kept spotlessly clean. There are plenty of shops close by to buy basic food requirements but not really any decent places to eat. Was the same price as the cheapest hotels but receive much more than a normal hotel room with two bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and a bathroom. It isnt in the centre of town but it is very close to the main line on the metro which is a 10 min ride away from the centre of town. Overall more than what you need if you plan to be out all day

  The vibe of the place was really good when I was there; people were very friendly and it was easy for someone travelling alone (like me) to make friends. Its location very in the city center; very convenience to walk around in the city, to take a bus, to take a metro/train. The bus and metro stations are just around the corner. They really make us feel like at home staying at Backpacker House Bcn. - Excellent positioning - 2 min on foot from a shopping area/Starbucl/Universitat Metro and max 10-15 min on foot from Placa de Catalunya and La rambla. It saves you a lot of time if you want to visit places and don't like to spend too much time in the subway or with your map trying to see where the nearest subway is. The personell is very nice and the places looks pretty well.

If you are a walker like me, you can get to all the sights by foot. Alternatively, you can get everywhere by Metro which is a few steps away from the hotel. The room was small but adequate, it was clean. It wan't pristine, but it was acceptable. My room had a balcony which was an amazing bonus. The WiFi was strong. The towels were changed daily. The hotel has elevator and a 24hr desk.

  We are a young couple with 2 month old baby stayed there for 4 days. The first room that we got was small but hed an inside balcony, we needed a bigger room so at the next morning we got transfer to a bigger room. The location is Excellent. great value for money. - The stuff was very kind, the room was very clean, the stuff changed towels and cleaned it every day, the room was in a very short distance to metro stations and in a very central location (we could go by foot to placa catalunia).Wi-fi was very good.
