We chose to go in early March for our wedding anniverssary. The hotel is
located within walking distance (for us 70-year olds) of Peterand Paul
fortress and the Hermitage crossing two different pairs of bridges
across the Neva in each case. The steadily reducing distance as you

The Hotel is located on the other side of the river Neva. The nearest
metro station “Gorkovskaya” is about 10 min. On foot. Therefore it is
better to use the bridges and be in the center… So the location is
pretty good for walkers. The hotel room was clean and well prepared.
Breakfast made a big impression. The breakfast room is a little bit
small, but food quality and selection meets the highest expectations. If
you are looking for entertainment (bars, restaurants, swimming pool,
gym, etc.) –

We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as
students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so
this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The
hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on
the dirtier side. I thought that aspect of the visit was excel

A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex
and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing
to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to
comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the
center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm
Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the
expensive side.

endroit très calme, belle vue sur St Isaac dans les chambres superieures qui donnent sur l'arrière. Idéal pour les personnes qui n"ont pas peur de marcher un peu. - Restaurant avec une très jolie vue sur St. Pétersbourg; chambres agréables. Proximité du centre.

Staff was so nice,attentive and helpful.
Check in and out was fast and easy, no waitings. No deposits at check in. Room (Mallorca) was very nice, cute and comfy. It was on the first floor with the views into the garden, where the outside terrace are in summer times. Might be in summer time there not much privicy, cuz out the window are tables of

The hotel is a splendid old house in a very quiet area. Our room was very large and comfortable.
The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent as was the restaurant in the evenings.
However, the best feature of the hotel was the staff - friendly, helpful, and with fluent English. My wife found the bed a little too soft for her back - housekeeping quickly set up a mattress on the floor which solved the problem.
In short - highly recommended.

Response staff - When we reported AC problems someone arrived right away, checked the settings, and we received a call offering to relocate us to a room with working AC. Also used the concierge services and it worked well.
