Les cafards? - Compared to what I read and heard about hotels in Bukarest this was a good choice (for the price). Everything worked out smoothly. The surrounding is not nice (from a western europe perspective), but there are not so many better places in Bukarest, people have to be aware of this before going there.

The room was a single room and as such, very spacious. The room was renovated recently so everything in the room as well as in the bathroom, was new and spotless. There was enough closet space, the heating worked very well, and the bed was very comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Bedroom newly renovated and very well furnished. Refurbishment of the entrance and lobby area I was told will start soon. Hotel centrally located within easy walking distance of Piata Universitate, where I was able to sample the vin Fiert (mulled wine) at the Christmas market, and watch the spectacular illuminations.
I will certainly stay here again on my frequent transits from Petrosani to the Airport.

I had a pleasant stay at Sarroglia. It is a fine hotel in central location, contemporary style with lovely areas. My room was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a big shower.
The breakfast was also good at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. -

I have never received such genuine service like I had at the Athenee Palace! Laura gave us a long list of recommended places to visit both in Bucharest and in Brasov, including the coolest restaurant in the mountains. Gabriella actually lent her her own coat so that I would be warm enough while sight seeing! We will absolutely be returning to the Athenee Palace Hilton on our next trip to Bucharest! Thank you for the wonderful accomodations and experience!
