  If you can get past the rather naff horse theme, this is a decent hotel for the price. We paid £380 for 3 nights during (uk) half term and at short notice which isn’t bad for Amsterdam and have no complaints. The staff were helpful and efficient. It’s in a very convenient location for the usual tourist stuff such as the Rijksmuseum and Leidseplien. - I liked the location,it is just a two minutes walk to Leidseplein where there are many restaurants, shops of all kind... from there you can reach very easy to the other main attractions: Dam Square, Rembrandtplein, Red Light District etc. I liked the room ...we were four girls and we took the four persons room which was very big, clean and comfortable. there were free coffees, cappuccinos, tea and the staff was really friendly. we all think it was a perfect choice.

  The location of Vossius Vondelpark is excellent - close to bus and tram stops but so easy to walk from that I never used public transport. The major museums and Heineken brewery are within 5 minutes walk. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the welcome from staff was warm and friendly at any hour of the day/night. We wanted to stay in the centre of town. The hotel is a few yards from Leidseplein. So location is great. We booked a small double, which was nice, clean and cosy. For breakfast we went to a bakery, so no comment on that. Will keep the hotel in mind for next stop in Amsterdam !

  The staff were always very friendly and helpful. They also let me bring my dog, and were very nice to him as well :) The location was great, it was very near many of the main museums, within walking distance, and the tram stops were about 5 min walk away. Parking was more difficult, but we were able to find a spot on the street nearby, and parking... ce que les gens disent » is free on Sundays so we didn't end up paying much. Our room had a balcony so that was nice. Room had a safe to lock up valuables which was free, and - Quiet location and spacious room: it is definitely worth staying slightly outside the city centre for these comforts. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the three major art galleries and the Vondelpark, which is great for picnics, reading and people-watching if you want a break from the hustle and bustle (or from all those paintings!).
