  Very welcoming atmosphere. Being able to chat around the breakfast table with the manager and other guests while getting served up made to order breakfast (including eggs!) and espresso and feeling very much "at home", including use of kitchen (microwave, free espresso/long coffee, frig, kitchenware, and nice comfortable bed with warm comforter (a... ce que les gens disent » nd good radiator heat when needed). The breakfast was yummy just what you need before setting out and about.   Try to get room number 1, (smoking allowed & your own shower/toilet)... the view from the window is something else! There's no food provided but hotel Alfa is beside a decent café. It's also only 2 minutes away from the train station & you only have to walk around the corner for your nearest smoke.   The location of the hotel was really close to all the hotspots within Amsterdam! The breakfast was simple but it was great for the money and it filled you up and got you going for the rest of the day. The toilets and shower were clean the majority of the time minus a few when it had just been used! And the beds were very comfy. In my opinion for the money it was a great place to stay when visiting Amsterdam! - Staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything. Wifi was available in the room and the breakfast was always good. The room and all the toilets and showers were extremely clean. This couldn't be better located, 5 mins from central station, shop right outside, restaurants close by and bike rentals available right outside. 10 out of 10

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (I was having back spasms and they really took care of me.)
