  It's located in the centre of the souq and you do not expect to meet such a quite accomodation. The roof terrace is unbelievable. You have a perfect view on the medina and can enjoy the atmosphere. The Riad is about 400 years old and if you can have a look into the owners part. It was great to get a bit of history about the Riad. It has one of the best views of Meknes from the roof top terrace. We really enjoyed our stay!

  Auberge La Source is placed just in front of the big erg.Hassan´s family is very nice and the service is perfect. Breakfast and dinner were included and they were always big and very delicious. We stayed there only one night but we have many unforgetable memories - sunset in dessert with cammels and our perfect guide Mohamed (thanks a lot, Moha... ce que les gens disent » med, it was really a beautiful experience). We can highly recommend this Auberge to other visitors. You will be very happy there. Ivana and Vladimir - La Source is located in the small village of Hassi Labied, a 15min drive from Merzouga and a short walking distance from the Great Dune of Erg Chebbi. The view is wonderful from their terrace. The auberge is clean and welcoming, brothers Omar and Said treated us as real friends and their sisters cooked the best tagines. We would love to go back to La Source and definitely recommend you to choose them.

  The staff were welcoming and friendly and were always ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble - a real 'family' feel to the hotel, although they have 10 rooms I think. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with a real eye for detail.   Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water. Space heaters and electric blankets were an added touch for the colder winter weather. - Wonderful attitude of the friendly staff. The kitchen area reminded me of a house in Auckland I was in a bit as child - weird.

Located at Meknes Medina, just 7 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from medina markets, it has a private car parking just in 100 meters nearby, thus you can come by car and leave it in a safe place. Riad is being run by an Englishman (to whom it might be important), a - The hotel was lovely but very hard to find, we wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for some friendly locals. Food was delicous, the best food we ate while traveling through Morocco. The staff are very friendly and helpful they go out of their way to accommodate you. The locals in the market are all very friendly. The market was amazing the best we had seen in Morocco, a definate must do.

  Though we found the facilities quite basic, this riad delivered what we came for. Ali, the owner, was very available, friendly and responsive to our needs. We wanted to experience desert culture and because of him we did. He took us to a village wedding which happened to be taking place the nite we arrived; he took us on a 4wd trip into the desert... ce que les gens disent » to visit a family, hear some traditional musicians, and see aspects of the desert we wouldnt have seen without him. The fact that the riad is located - We were very well greeted by Ali and his staff. Ali quickly arranged jeep and dromedary (no camels in Africa) trips for us. The room was nicely decorated, Maroccan style. We had a wonderful evening meal under the tent by the pool and all you can eat breakfast. Above all we got what we came for, to see the desert, visit a different culture and meet friendly people.

  We loved our stay here, including the night in the desert they arranged for us. The staff was amazing and the family that owns the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming -- Hassan sat on the terrace with us for half an hour just to chat after we arrived. They're also working to preserve the dunes and keep dirtbikes and quads off them. Great people! The food is the best I've had in Morocco (and I have been here for 2 months so far). The rooms are very spacious and spotless!   The guest house is an attractive private villa in a pleasant suburban street. It is furnished in a typical arab-french middle class style. The patron is French from Toulouse, who speaks English quite well, and his wife is Moroccan, fluent in French.   Très bon accueil. La coure intérieur du riad est très jolie. L'isolation sonore est excellente: une fête se déroulait sur la grande place jusqu'à côté sans pour autant causer la moindre gène.   Pretty cool. First place I stayed in 5 medinas that actually had signs pointing to its location. Nice rooms, hard beds, nice bathrooms. Also first bathroom where I had a shower curtain. Staff seem friendly enough. Best point was me taking the personal driver to Volulibis. I was hot and exhausted and didn't want to deal with the ridiculous taxis. He was so laid back. 400 mad was more than wor - We had the luck of booking the room next to the sunny roof terrace. In every thing you can feel love and care, including the couple of lovely canaries Big Eagle and Juliet, Riad has terrace with view to medina , a lot of differenr flowers and place for tea or coffe. It's inside the Medina which makes it an easy and interesting walk to 'all things'. Nice people running the place. Fun to stay in a very old riad. The number two guy had to be the happiest individual I've ever encountered in my life. Meknes was a nice change from Marrakesh. Many fewer tourists and many, many fewer locals trying to separate you from your money.
