Excellent Dive Shop - Pepe Scuba shop right on site at the hotel. Get up in the morning and get straight in the dive boat right in front of the hotel, excellent. Dive Masters were friendly and knowledgeable. Dive boat VERY fast so gets you there before all the others, and not packed with a lot of people - only small groups of divers at a time.

The staff were very friendly and eager to help. I stayed here while competing in the ironman and cannot fault the hotel for it's efforts to accommodate the additional needs when taking part in such an event.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was for the most part fantastic! The drinks were delicious and not watered down. The snorkeling was amazing and the beach was so relaxing. Great value for the money - I would go there again, and I highly recommend it! -

There is a saying that you get what you pay for and that is the case
with Cozumel Hotel and Resort. We only paid $450 for 5 nights and
breakfast was included. The hotel is old but kept clean.

The hotel, especially the entrance was beautiful. The pools were fantastic. The beach was small, but quite nice. The snorkeling was good at the beach. The room was spacious and well appointed. -

Gorgeous location, right on the beach. Units all have thatched palm roofs and minimal amenities (no phone, internet, TV, etc.) although Internet access is available at the bar and in the lobby. The location is fantastic. Best on the Playa del Carmen. Wake up and go to sleep with the sound of the surf: in your own hammock on your own little patio, if you choose. The bungalows are a very good idea but are in need of renovation. The good news is, the whole place is being renovated and ready by the end of 2014. Go then. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING. Very good selection breakfast buffet including Mexican / Continental / American choices. Really sets you up for the day.
Surroundings are lovely as much of the original wildlife in the hotel's plot of land has been left in tact. Trees, flowers, iguanas, birds. Very pretty.

The bungalows are in a splendid garden, like a jungle. They have terraces where you can stay in the hamac or armchair and enjoy the garden and shadow while reading a book. The beach is very close and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rich with plenty of types of food and juices from which you can choose. I liked almost everything.
