The owner was very friendly and most helpful in every respect even telephoning a reservation for us in an excellent restaurant in the town. Our young daughter was accommodated in a seperate bed and without charge. And, the garden was wonderful to sit out in over breakfast which was really tasty. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives

We stayed for four nights at Pulkvedis in a clean double-bed room and our stay was memorable due to the kindness and hospitality of Juris and Anita. There is also a large garden and Sauna. There is a fine walk along the Venta riverbank only five minutes' walk from the guesthouse.

Villa Leonardo is the best hotel in Ventspils. I have stayed in several
other hotels and this is by far the best! Kids (7 and 9 years) said that
this is the best hotel that they ever stayed. :) We had very large room,
with built in kitchen. -
Location is great, near to Jurmala city park and beach.
Owner offers bikes and cars for rent.

Best of all was nice cafe with wide assortiment of pizas as well as normal menu of other meals.
Funny was cafe blackboard lettering: "this is not BISTRO. this is SLOW service cafe". Still anything was served quickly enough. So it wasn't slow. -

Very nice place, near Ventspils, but not in the city - excelent for
traveller with a car :) Very quite with much beautiful nature, not far
from the seaside. Friendly staff ready to help you with any problem. Not
big, but very nice rooms. Big area in the nature. I will advice this

Ostamala is located in the center of Venstpils, close to main sightseeing. The best Venstpils restaurant Skroderkrogs is just around the corner. Quiet street, friendly staff and very cozy appartment. Parking is excellent for those who travel by car. Kitchen with all necessary things.
