Considering we were on a 3 week trip to Japan and that we visited many
hotels and hostels during its span, I have to say that Tokyo Ueno Youth
Hostel had the friendliest and most helpful staff we have come across.
The general attitude of the employees towards the guests surpassed all
of our expectations. Furthermore, it had great facilities such as
efficient wireless internet which had proven to be hard to come by all
over Japan. Overall, I would not give a better review to any other

Friendly staff, they can speak fluent English. There are staff from worldwide too! The cafe ambiance is very good and relaxing. I was given the complimentary of upgrade from 4-pax dorm to single room due to hotel overbooked. The facilities like toilet, shower room are clean. Staff is fluent in English and always ready to help with any question.
Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Same about shared showers.
Atmosphere in Sakura hotel is really friendly, good for individual trip.

The staff is helpful and they speak English very well. I checked-in late at night (around 10.30 pm) but they have midnight staff ready waiting for me. It's awesome.

This cute little place made my first stay in Tokyo so comfortable and impressive. The room was clean and i really love the bed and blanket...so comfy!! The staffs were also very nice and helpful. Very good location just about 3-5 minutes from metro. Wonderful^^

Khaosan World Ryokan has many enjoyable features. The decor is a mix of

At the first minute you feel like home, the place is colorful, cosy and clean, the people are super nice, and really great helpers with good experience. The premises are really convenient and the location is just perfect, we would definitely go back there again next time we come to Tokyo and recommend the place.

Location was great, rooms ,kitchen bathrooms clean. Lost my wallet on the train from Osaka to Tokyo. They let me check in, stay the night & gave me a map of where to get my money. Yes if your a taller person you will find the showers a little low. Will I go back, yes ! -

Everything about the trip was incredible. The staff were really friendly and were able to help me when I asked them something. I asked them something as weird as to where to find a poster tube so I could take a painting back home safely, and they were able to tell me a shop that sold exactly what I was looking for.

Location was easy to find and front of hostel stands out so you cant miss it. Greeted by very friendly staff, you have to take shoes off at entrance and slippers provided (though some did have a smelly feet odour going on!). Our twin room had a bunk bed which was very large compared to other hostels. Saying that, the room was very small in general. Small desk and window, hardly any room for storage/baggage. Great kitchen and communal area with free tea/coffee. Really friendly, welcoming feel to
