Once we know which Ikebukuro exit to take, it became very handy as it was only 2 minutes away. Take Echika exit 6 rather than the west gate of Ikebukuro station. It has elevator - good for travelers with luggage like we were.
Breakfast was nice, quite a wide selection of Japanese style food.

There were many things I liked as you can see from the rating. The staff, in particular, were friendly and very helpful. They provide a great map of the surrounding area. If anything was needed, for example my bathroom light burned out, they fixed it immediately. Many of the staff spoke English. The breakfast was simple but got you going for the d

This was my second time staying in Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro, but my first time staying in the dorm. It's a great hotel, very clean, free wifi and they have converters at the front desk for your electronics. It's really close to Ikebukuro station and there's a lot of good restaurants around and staff available 24 hours a day.

Location: The hotel is just 3 stations away from Shinjuku jr station.
It's less busy than Shinjuku, but it's good as I can get seats
easily in restaurants nearby and it's convenient to get everything I
need with Lawson & Family Mart nearby. Plus, it takes a few minutes

The location is very good.. Near jr Mejiro Station.. Just about 3
minutes walking..and near lots of restaurants and mini markets.. The
room is a bit small but since i'm an asian it doesn't matter at
all.. The staffs can't speak english but they're soo nice and
very helpful.. The room is clean.. They clean the room everyday
including changing the bed cover everyday.. The wi fi is good.. I was
staying at 8th floor but the wi fi signal was still good..

Having stayed at the Family Inn Saiko for almost a week I have to say that the whole experience has been a truly pleasant one! In fact, I would go even so far as saying that it was one of the most pleasant experiences in a few years worth of travelling.

I loved how friendly and helpful the hotel staff was and how willing they were to assist me in my travels as well as answer my questions and concerns. The room was VERY clean and comfortable and it was a great Japanese cultural experience. It was conveniently located close to 3 subway stops, including the Ikebukuro station. I definitely enjoyed my stay here and if I am ever in Tokyo again, I will be staying here again! I have already recommended the Family Inn Saiko to friends!

Recommended trips from personal experiences, offered umbrellas on rainy days, helped uncommom requests and even kept me company when I was sitting in the hotel cafe alone one day, chit chatting. The hotel is in a perfect location and very easy to find, only one stop
after Shinjuku which was perfect as Shinjuku station itself is very
confusing. Good wifi connection. We stayed in the Japanese style room
and it was great value for money the bathroom was compact as to be
