Yuzuya Ryokan - Photos
Ce que les gens disent
A hidden door at the foot of the Yasaka shrine in Kyoto leads to a flight of rock stairs....
This was an amazing cultural experience. It allows the visitor a trip to another time with a tradition Japanese Inn (Royokan) served with an exquisitely prepared kaiseki banquet and large Japanese ( or Western style) breakfast.
It was expensive but well with the experience that we'll always remember. The wait staff and the lovely woman who welcomed us to our rooms were wonderful, friendly and spoke goo. tous commentaires »
Where does one start with Yuzuya? I stayed for two glorious nights and the place is amazing. Worth every penny: the room is beautiful, with antiques and everything just so. The highlight is the food! I had two dinners and both were some of the best food I have ever eaten. Exquisitely presented on Kyoto pottery, each dish was a work of art. Breakfast was also amazing. This is a very special place- stay here if you can. You'll be a 10 minute or so walk from many of the top temples and walking are.
I could not recommend Yuzuya Ryokan highly enough!
We had a one night stay at Yuzuya Ryokan and it was proof that you get what you pay for. The staff were always willing to assist and go the extra mile for any questions or queries we may have had, the atmosphere was first class and would highly recommend a stay at the Yuzuya Ryokan!.
The room was most pleasant with a comfortable futon set up. The furniture was traditional and exquisite. I liked the shiatsu massage of ordered. The breakfast was unforgettably delicious together with the wonderful service. Concierge were very helpful with my needs.
-The atmosphere-stunningly peaceful and beautiful traditional ryokan -
The breakfast (included in room rate)- meticulous and very tasty -Restaurant-
so stylish, goes well with its plates and food -Good location.
This ryokan has a wonderful atmosphere and design. The rooms and the service were excellent. I would highly recommend it. But it is expensive. My rating for value for money is based on two people travelling.
Perfect location in the heart of Gion with shops, food, beautiful temples and shrines in walking distance. The ryokan is lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. The food they serve is amazing!.
Warmth and friendliness of the staff, beautiful surroundings, lovely dining room with beautifully prepared and served food.
Great location. Right in the heart of Gion. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast is really delicious.
Food was brilliant. The layout of the ryokan itself is beautiful and the staff have been very helpful.
Beautiful and traditional. So serene.
Perfect location
Superb staffs.
Atmosphere.
Dinner was good.
Room was ok apart from hitting my head because I was too tall (I'm only 176 cm so I'm not that tall!).
Staff tried very hard to please.
Good entrance n reception area.
This ryokan was extremely over priced for the services rendered. The
room was hot, they did bring us two fans, but this is not what is
expected of $500+ per night accommodations. I arrived a couple of hours
before check in and it was difficult to get them to give me something to
drink. Pretty incredible for a purported 5 star ryokan. I would never
stay there again. The food was not bad but if that is what you are
looking for, don't stay there.
That the time was short.
That I didn't get to stay there longer.
-Steep stairways both in front of and inside Ryokan, not easy for
elderly non-Japanese clients! -Indifferent senior front staffs, contrary
to the young who are much more cheerful and hospitable.
It was difficult to locate initially! Also I was a sole traveller, but was happy to pay the full price for a double room. But I ate in one evening (delicious) and at the end of my stay they billed me for the room plus dinner that night. So I paid over £100 for one dinner!!!.
The steep, wet staircase to enter the Ryokan. The dim light in the bathroom, hard to put makeup on and that was the only mirror.
The bathroom (and room) is a little bit small.
Wifi was extremely unstable and slow.
Bit pricey.
Nothing.
Expensive for what was provided.
Room was hot and traditional bed a bit hard to take. We spent the night being too hot or too cold and had the a/c running all night because no windows.
Over value not worth the money.
Hostal level accommodation for 5 star pricing. Poor a/C. Poor
service. Not customer oriented.
