  Absolutely superb from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The setting is beautiful, very serene and with a wonderful relaxed ambience. Alberto was the most charming and welcoming host, and we noticed that every aspect of the hotel had been very carefully thought through to ensure no detail was overlooked. There were lovely little details li - Perfect place for relaxing near historical city of Montepulciano (1 km). Alberto, the host, was very helpful, great breakfast and beautiful garden circumstances. Great restaurant La Grotta was only 0,5 km from the hotel.

  We liked everything about San Lorenzo. It is only a few km from a major highway that runs between Siena and exits to the great Tuscan wine hill towns as well as just over an hour to Assisi. Yet when you are there it seems like you are far from a highway and deep into the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The setting is wonderful. The wifi signal was excellent. The grounds are well manicured and there are cosy seating areas throughout. Free parking was safe and secure.   The location and the design of the hotel was fantastic. We liked how the hotel was almost brand new (having been recently restored), yet had been with the same family for a few generations. The restoration had obviously been completed very tastefully, with many original features having been retained, yet having discreet modern amenities and eco-fr... ce que les gens disent » iendly features. The property did not feel like a hotel at all - it felt more like a family home, lovingly restored, and open to the discerning public - A fantastic renovation of beautiful historic buildings by the owners,the finishes are a compliment to their obvious eye for design by blending new with old. Bed very comfortable and linen pristine. Our room offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside with Sienna in the distance. The welcome offered to us on arrival was fantastic without being over the top and we were relaxing in our room no more than 5 minutes after parking the car.   In one way I do not wish to recommend this wonderful villa as I want it to be always available for me and my families personal use! However, that said I really want others to enjoy the extraordinary welcome and care given to us by the lovely Viviana and Paulo throughout our stay at this extraordinary villa. The views of Florence from the apartm... ce que les gens disent » ent are stunning and the apartments themselves are more than well equipped with everything you need for your stay, and even if it wasn't, Viviana woul - We stayed for 7 nights and loved every moment of our stay. Hosts Viviana and Paulo made us welcome from the moment we walked through the gate. Their place is welcoming and relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. Viviana even showed us how to catch the bus and where to visit in Florence. Her daily treats and well stocked complimentary fridge were well received. We ate at the local restaurant six nights - another of Viviana's suggestions - fantastic. The quality of this place was great.
