  We had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Jebel. We were traveling with our kids, ages 4 and 6, and the staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. My son declared it "the best hotel he had ever stayed in," and he was not far off.   My my, what a hard review to write. I can tell you now, that these photos or anything I write here, will not do this hotel justice. If you are looking at this hotel now however, give yourself a highfive, cause you have just found a gem. I have pretty much been raised in five star hotels and have seen them all. In our age with all the media tools we have available nothing is really left ope - Do not compare a 5* hotel in Sicily with a 5* hotel anywhere else in the world...Saying that, we had a lovely time despite some flaws, exploring the Etna region and playing golf on the oldest golf course in Sicily nearby (green fee reduction when you stay in the hotel). Make sure to visit Castiglione di Sicilia about 1/2 hr. away. Hotel is in a very quiet area in well kept grounds, perfect for a short break.   From the harbor we were picked up by the hotel. On arrival we got a drink, and our luggage was directly sent to our room. We got an upgrade to a room with sea view. The hotel has a great outdoor pool, and is well maintained. The hotel has two on site restaurant which are good. The hotel has a nice SPA.
