My favourite thing about Amalfi by far was the absolutely lovely and wonderful lady who runs the breakfast buffet. She obviously takes so much pride in her work and is so friendly, bubbly and full of energy every morning. She goes to extra lengths to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated and gives a veritable tour of the buffet when the guests come in! What a lovely lady, thank you so much.

We stayed in the Annex, which is around the corner from the main hotel and reception. Both buildings are in the old city centre, a block or two away from Trevi fountain and many restaurants and curio shops. great location.

The location by the lake is tranquil and the views are stunning. The village of Piediluco is pretty, idyllic and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with well designed bathrooms. Excellent location. Pretty central if you wish to check out most of Rome's sites. Literally a block away from il Colosseo. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. If you're coming to Rome for site-seeing, this location is untoppable.

The hotel was a stopover on our way to Civitavechia to board a cruise. We flew into Rome airport and it was simple to catch a train to Trastavere, where we would need to change for Civitavechia.
