The reason we chose this hotel was because of the brilliant reviews of the restaurant Taverna Del Capitano ( a michelin star restaurant) that is below the hotel.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Badia. Marisa and her staff were always accommodating and helpful. It was just a short walk to downtown. The most important thing is the honesty of the staff and the hotel because my husband had forgotten the mobile in the room and the room cleaner had found it and gave to the reception. The reception had immediately telephoned us but unfornately we had already returned to Switzerland . They had checked all the shipping way to ship back the mobile phone. The restaurant was very relaxing and beautiful and the pool was the best around. The country atmosphere with the vineyard looked liked heaven - An amazing place. Gorgeous view of the water and sunset. Lovely family run business. Their restaurant isn't always open for dinner so make sure you have lunch there as the food is delicious. It's about a 30min walk to Anacapri but if you don't want to walk they will drive you there and pick you up whenever you want. The distance out of town is worth it for the view and peaceful surrounds.
