  The location is excelent, 5 minutes walking to Arena. The rooms are big and comfortable and the owner is very nice and helpfull. A problem: room nr.1 is very close to the kitchen, so if there's some activity you will hear everything. But the owner was nice and changed our room after one night.   Our room was fantastic with a large bathroom. Luxuriously set up and ideally located. Everything worked well and Maria cooked us wonderful breakfasts each morning. It was a perfect location for our weekend visit to Verona. Being within the ZTL area means hardly any cars around. We started our stay with a glass of prosecco on the little balcony looking at the passing by people. Breakfast is served on the terrazza and you can talk to Luigi, the host, who will give you the best hints regarding the best foodie places in Verona. We will definitely come back:)

  Owner of Villa Mainard was one of the nicest people we've ever met! Even with limited English, he was so helpful to us. Our apartment was beautiful, very spacious, and wonderful to stay in - we wish we could have stayed longer! He also recommended the best pizza we've ever eaten in our lives - all in all, a great stay. - We had two apartments which were both very spacious. We wanted to be able to cook in a couple of nights and that proved easy to do. The concierge provided good information about local facilities, bus routes and local food shopping (would suggest these should be in a folder in Italian, English and German in each apartment. nb buy bus tickets at the local Tabak - cheaper than on the bus!)

The day we arrived we enjoyed a wonderful 4 course meal with a bottle of wine overlooking Verona. We both agreed it was the best meal we had on our holiday.
