  Venice is a small city (for me anyway) but hard to navigate, so people will get lost (I got delightfully lost several times), but I thought Residenza La Loggia was super easy to find. With only the map provided from their website I went straight from the St. Mark's vaporetto stop (from the airport) to the B&B with no wrong turns.   We stayed at the Casanova apartment. The owner met us in the square where the apartment is and he was very friendly and showed us around the flat, gave us a map of the city, told us where the nearest vaporetto stop, supermarket etc is located. The flat is very central, only a few minutes walk from St Mark's square (must be the most crowded place... ce que les gens disent » I have ever seen in my life) and equally close to Rialto bridge. When I booked the place, reading all the reviews I was convinced there would be no - The apartment (vivaldi) was very clean and the staff friendly. They didn't have a booking for our last day so they let us check out at 6pm. The apartment is not only central but in a proper strategic spot, everything was only 5 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and gave lots of privacy. The two bedrooms were on the opposite sides of the apartment. The best thing was the terrace on top of the roof.   The hotel is just beautiful. It's a three hundred year old Palazzo that has been meticulously restored, with great attention to detail and luxury. Our room was quite outstanding - extremely " high tech" ( comment from our 21 year old who was very impressed!) combined with traditional, lavish furnishings - drapes, pelmets, wallpaper, furniture ; if... ce que les gens disent » you are into design and interior decorating, this is the place! We felt very welcomed and " at home" in beautiful surroundings. The staff were incred - This hotel was our favorite from all of our hotels this trip. The location was perfect for walking everywhere and easy access from the water taxi at Rialto bridge....just remember to turn at the Disney store and you'll always find it! We did eat in the restaurant one night and it was very good. Our waiter was excellent and I'm pretty sure he is the only Italian waiter to have smiled at us our whole trip (no joke!) We also had a couples massage one evening. Though I would not say it is a "spa"
