  We booked at last minute so the fare was low. We got for a small amount of money the facilities of a hotel which sometimes is better (24 hr service, a more complete breakfast, easy to access). Good value for money and a nice place to stay when planning to be outside all day. It wasn't located in the center but yet it was very close to the central... ce que les gens disent » train station, so it is very good to stay there if you are planning to stay for a night or two and are travelling around italy by train. - The hotel is located very close to the Central Rail Station, which makes it very easy to get to Pompei or Sorento. You can also reach the historical city center on foot in less than 30 minutes. The hotel looks very nice, it is spotless clean and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is basic italian-style, but they have fresh pastry avery morning and you can rely on it to start the day. Would definitely stay there again.

  Great location very close to the station (ideal for trips to Vesuvius and Pompeii) and the port (for trips to Capri). Very friendly and helpful staff. Good free internet. Lovely breakfast and excellent coffee. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom. Very old building, beautifully refurbished, now with ultra modern decor. Excellent pizzeria next door. - We stayed in Hotel Diamond as an overnight stop en route home to London from Positano. At the last minute we got seats on a flight leaving at 9.00pm and checked out much to the consternation of the manager who thought we didn't like the hotel. On the contrary, the room was clean and spacious and I give the staff 11 out of 10 for their helpfulness in arranging luggage and taxis at the drop of a hat.
