  Perfect location. Crawling distance to the Duomo. In the heart of Florence. Loved Lorenzo and his mom Barbara. Very clean, very comfortable and included a lovely self serve breakfast. Wi-Fi was also good. We entered through an unassuming doorway, up a tiny old exposed elevator to a welcoming B&B on the forth floor. Very quaint!   The location couldn't be better. They helped book everything for the fast lines since we only had a short time in Florence. The room was a suite which they upgraded us on our arrival without asking. It gave a palace feel with the architecture and furnishings and we were made to feel like royalty when we were there. Cimatori Bed and Breakfast is located in a 600-year old building right in the middle of Florence's historic center that's easy walking distance to nearly all of the major sites in the area. Breakfast was - The location was great, close to everything and safe for a solo female traveller. It was very clean and comfortable and the windows were effective at shutting out the bustle of tourists when needed but even then the noise was not at antisocial hours or unpleasant so no problems. Dominico and Valeria were very helpful and friendly, they helped me get tickets for the art galleries and made me lovely tea and coffee every morning and were able to answer any questions I had.   First of all, the location couldn't be better. It is located about 2 blocks south of the Duomo, and 2 blocks north of Ponte Vecchio bridge and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted. There are city buses, and unbelieveably one of them comes right down the narrow street with a stop right in front of the B&B, so coming from the train statio... ce que les gens disent » n with suitcases was no problem (1.5 euro bus ticket). The staff was excellent, and helpful in suggesting sights not to miss and how to get to them - Bruno showed us the most wonderful hospitality, we had a fantastic stay with him in Florence! He helped us book a lovely restaurant and was endlessly helpful with where to go and what to see in his home town. The B&B is his home and is run with warmth & love. The rooms are clean, comfortable & simple. There are tea and coffee facilities available at all times and a little mini bar for your use. Location is wonderful, right in the heart, near the Duomo but not at all noisy. Recommen

  The hotel was intimate, friendly, and the very unigue decor was fun for the kids. It met our needs and had the European feel we wanted. Opening our bedroom window and seeing the Duomo down the street set the mood for our Florence experience. Attitude makes all the difference.   I am totally satisfied with this booking (the hardware, the service, location, the pricing). I should say this is the best hotel I've ever lived during the past 20 days vacation in Italy and Greece. Unlike the rooms of most hotels in European tourist cities, the room offered by this hotel is quite spacious. Luciana and Luciano, the brother and sister who own/run(?) the place, are lovely, lovely people, kind and most helpful. They're also very quick to respond to emails. The location is great, if a bit hard to find (if you're relying on GoogleMaps, that is -- get a REAL map!).
