The food was - A wonderful luxury, 5 star hotel that was just great overall. The best place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Ireland. Large, comfortable rooms & bed, great food, attentive staff, with Bart at the front door everything just couldn't be better.

Had dinner at hotel one night and next night attended a formal function (with 350 others) at hotel and food and service were really excellent in both cases. - The refurbishment of the hotel has been a complete success.   Excellent accomodation. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location just far enough from civilization to be comfortable. Cork city only a few minutes drive away and in close proximity to Blarney Castle. The food in the restaurant was amazing, with a good menu selection.
