Each room at Athens International Youth Hostel has a private or shared bathroom with a shower. Guests can start their day with 5 different menus of breakfast, which are served upon request, at an extra charge. They also have access to a fully equipped kitchen with a dining room, and to a bar. A communal washing machine is also provided. Acropolis Museum and Syntagma Square are around 3 km from the property. The Railway Station of Athens is within a 15-minute walk. Fast free wireless Internet in rooms and common areas. Lockers more than a meter high, large enough for a suitcase and rucksack. Spotlessly clean. Various breakfasts available on a pay as you go basis. Greek breakfast of a large dish of yoghurt with muesli and honey, bread, jam. Juice and hot drink for only 4€. Not busy in May so I had a dormitory to myself and held the only key so I felt secure as a single female traveller. The staff are pleasant, speak English well and are very helpful. You .
tous commentaires » Very nice and polite personel in in the reception in the hotel showing, describing and explaning every route /way/ to every place in Athens and in all Greece, and of course hostel offers very good localization in the center of the city and many facilities from offering free very good maps of Athens to organizing trips to different Islands of Greece . The staff were incredible always going out of their way to help. Quiet and safe room. Good facilities. Great value for money, get what you pay for! From previous reviews I was reluctant to stay here and was not expecting a lot but when I arrived I was surprised, the private room was very spacious, was very clean. I liked the most the people who work there. They are the most helpful staff I have ever met. I also liked the facilities in the hotel very much. Rooms are nice and clean and provide everything what a tired tourist can wish. clean, elegant hostel for young people from all over the world in the center of the city and not very expensive; very good,polite and helpful people workig at the reception and good friendly atmosphere in the hostel. The staff were awesome. Most of them have been here for at least 6 years and most over 20 years. The facilities were clean and I felt as incorporated into the Greek culture as possible in a hostel. The garden is nice to sit in , the location is great , cheap breakfast 3-5 euro, lots of nice people from all over the world, clean and fair price. Great friendly staff, super cheap place close to train station or only about half hour walk into the main sites. My friend and I had booked a 6 bed dorm for 2 nights, but we were lucky enough to get a 4 bed room all to ourselves, which was nice as we didn't have to sneak around early in the morning when we were leaving for the ferry :). The staffs there are quite helpful. The location is also quite convenient, just a short walk to the Metro. Accommodating staff. Good location near metro with easy access to city center. Reception is open for 24h. This hostel has lift(but quite small). Staff on desk and also lovely young lady who made breakfasts. good location and u can make friends there. good price~. The price. The gap under the room door was quite wide and the noise of fellow travelers was loud at times. The pillow I had was not the best, and the shower was hand held. We had a bit of muskito in the night. The bed was very hard - but you can't expect too much for 7 euros per night. The district is not very nice but it was still good to see. I had a better view of Athen by it. Directions should indicate to get of at the last X 95 bus stop, and it is not the "tram" from there, but a bus for 3 stops, telling the bus number. no towels. I booked one person in twin private but the hostel charged me for the full room. It should be for one person. I went for one tour to Dlphi and Mycenea and Epidorus with Chat tours. They gave us lunch at Amalia Hotel which was very poor. Kitchen facilities could do with some work. My friend and I went down to make breakfast and could only find one spoon! The shower in the room was also a bit of a mission, tiny and had to hold the shower head. But after being in hostels with bathrooms down the hall, it is nice to have your own ensuite. The environment around the hostel is a little bit dark and dirty. Not sure if it is safe for the female travelers. Location is not good, especially female traveller may need to be careful around this hostel. Around this hostel is very dirty and dark. Moreover, this hostel seems to accept some travellers group,so I felt quite noisy in common room sometimes. Room we had smelt bad mainly coming from the bathroom. Always can't catch wifi. poor wifi signal~. The bathroom was really small and the lockers were broken, but my roomates were cool and honest.
