  This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!

  Hotel très bien placé par rapport au centre ville - Location is tops - close to the tran centre of town and many tourist sites. Brakfast was good. - Visited 22/01/09. The hotel is nice, well situated, good quality. It was a little bit cold in the room, but it was not a serious problem.

La chambre était propre,avec une petite kitchenette, stores aux fenêtres et doubles rideaux.Petit déjeuner avec un large choix et service jusqu'à 11h. L'hotel n'est pas très loin du centre (la gare centrale), on accède à la gare centrale en 10 minutes en bus (arrêt du bus à 3 ... ce que les gens disent » minutes à pieds de l'hotel). - Pour un prix aussi bas pour un 4 étoile, on ne s'attendait pas à des miracles. Plus grand donc a été la surprise a l'arrivée ! Une cuisine toute équipée dans une chambre spacieuse et confortable digne d'un vrai 4 étoile, pour le prix d'un 2 étoiles... Malheureusement, le prix ne doit pas être le même hors été !

  everything was nice and carefully thought out. the hotel is very pretty, in a gracious way, old fashioned but not "old" feeling. It's right n ear "Stuck" (sp.?) a famous art museum. The breakfast, included, was out of this world.
