Beautiful hotel in the centre of one of the prettiest places we have ever been, Saint-Emilion. We stayed in a suite, which was very pricey, but still lovely. The pool and gardens were superb and immaculately kept. The reception/bar was maybe a little lacking in atmosphere but the rest of the hotel made up for this minor complaint! I'm not sure of

Wonderful facilities. Our double room was fairly standard but the real value for money comes in making the most of the swimming pool and wonderful garden area. The hotel is in an excellent location and perfect for seeing Saint Emilion and surroundings by foot or bicycle.

Owner was very accommodating, friendly and made sure that Le Commanderie was well appointed with amenities, comfortable beds, WiFi, TV and stylish furnishings. Loved the room and bathroom layout. We loved every moment of our stay at the Maison de la Commanderie in St. Emilion. Our host, Laurent, was wonderful. He provided a wonderful home cooked breakfast served family style. He called a cab service to bring us to the train. He definitely paid attention to every detail about his establishment. The room was spacious and state of the art (iPod speaker system, flat screen TV, fabulous shower with spray jets) with magnificent views of the town and countryside.

The reason why we first selected this hotel was because it was an old
house directly in Saint-Émilion and it is literally at the entrance of
the small medieval town with direct access to all the restaurants and
shops. At first we thought that the dimensions on the room listed as 60
square meters was wrong but it was not: the room is actually this

Delightfully furnished studio accomodation which suited us perfectly.
The added kitchen facilities enabled us to enjoy our own breakfasts
and on one of the 4 nights that we stayed we were able to prepare a
meal to eat "at home". Natasha and her staff kept the
accomodation spotless and the suggestions for places to eat out were

The owners, Nikki and Julian couldn't have have been more charming and pleasant with a wonderful greeting on arrival and friendliness during our stay. Nikki and Julian are simply wonderful hosts, and we loved our stay at Le
Pavillon Villemaurine. We wished we had stayed longer. This small hotel
is perfectly situated in Saint Emilion, so that you can explore the
village and sample restaurants on foot. The hotel rooms are spacious and
beautifully appointed. Breakfast was fabulous with French Press coffee.

the location was great - right in the heart of St Emilion's old city.
Two levels - top level had a double bed and a single (I think i requested the single) and a pull out sofa on the lower level with the fridge, microwave and table. Visit Carlos in the wine store just below the apartment. -

I had been to St Emilion many years before and knew I wanted to return. It felt like a bit of a crap shoot when I booked this hotel (there are not a lot of choices within the town limits). What a pleasant surprise. The hotel is conveniently located near a main entrance to town so available parking is very close. The rooms were recently redone

We booked the 3rd floor Imperial Suite that was very well equipped with
dishwasher, microwave, cooktop and all the necessary dishes etc for an
extended stay. We were only there 2 days and really didn't need all
those amenities, but if you wanted to spend several days wine tasting
and seeing the area. It is the place to be. Walk out the front door and
the entire town of Saint Emilion is at your feet. Bed and pillows were
comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. Room came with petit

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Natasha gave us excellent dinner recommendations, some of which came with the complementary glasses of wine. Loved our stay!

Wonderful central location,close to everything, charming old stone building,
extremely friendly lady host who helped us print off maps and looked up websites, free car parking which is asset in town where parking is scarce, in annexe over road which was v. charming & comfortable, didn't try breakfast as so many cafes in charming central square

Saint Émilion is very small and La Commanderie is well placed, being within the "city walls" and also having its own parking not far away. The staff were very helpful in moving our luggage on the second day, as we decided to stay another night but the room we were staying in was booked.
