The town of Azay-Le-Rideau is beautiful, and a great stopover between Calais and SW France. Lots of bars and restaurants to explore, nice bar by the river for the children to paddle in. Our children also enjoyed riding their bikes around.

of restaurants to eat. Azay-le-Rideau is a smaller town and we found
that charming. The Azay-le-Rideau Chateau is right down the street! It
was easy to drive to the other Chateaus in the area and avoid the
bigger city of Tours (parking, noise, etc.). Breakfast in the courtyard
was a wonderful way to start a day (and we are still wondering about
the horns embedded in old wall...) For a family of 4 this hotel was an

We booked at the last moment in a hurry... we didn't check the reviews or anything we just went for it. Driving there we went up the wrong road and our hearts dropped thinking it was going to be a crummy place based on the lay of the land. Once we got back on track the main road faded away to a long driveway to a perfect chateau experience. Its been really well renovated. Rooms are expansive with beautiful views. The location is very central. The hotel room was very quiet, with a tranquil view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely fitted. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, and responded to my requests very effectively. The public parking was just across the street.

,l'expérience réussit,vous trouvé le minimun de confort salle de

A delightful experience all round. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We had a garden view room which was wonderful with a comfy canopy bed. Yes it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room (see other reports), but it's available on room service and they were happy to provide us with a kettle. The restaurant is wonderful with a good menu

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this delightful Logis, located in beautiful countryside yet within ten minutes of towns and chateaux. The garden rooms are spacious and comfortable and the pool and tennis court immaculately maintained. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Excellent food is served in a very inviting room and I'm already looking forward to returning.

Hotel by itself is a three story converted town house with high ceilings and modern design. We had a view on ancient Rue Voltaire from our window; it's not far from St. Gatien Cathedral; they have breakfast in the morning; everything is crispy clean and all the guests were very quiet, so if you're looking for a place to relax this should be your choice
