  I hit Järvisydän almost by accident, had heard about the place sometimes before. Now was having business trip and needed place to sleep. Offer was good but the place was just brilliant: very nice old-style restaurant with good foor (they said from the local farmers and fishermen) and a bit different rooms and villas to stay over. The restaurant Piikatyttö offered good meals and the atmosphere generally speaking is relaxing, and the medieval thme is nicely visible in public areas - yet the villas used for accommocation are modern, meeting the requirements of the modern age travelers.

Daily magazines available everywhere. Very friendly staff everywhere. High quality breakfast with a lot of variety + local food/drinks. Just on the edge of Joensuu, 10-minute ride on bus 17, there is a well preserved WW2 "Bunker Museum" that is well worth the side trip.
