Just on the edge of Joensuu, 10-minute ride on bus 17, there is a well preserved WW2 "Bunker Museum" that is well worth the side trip.

  The meals were just great, they have really good cooks! The sauna and pools are really good and clean. The whole personal is nice, and always ready to serve, the most of them speak perfect English.   I hit Järvisydän almost by accident, had heard about the place sometimes before. Now was having business trip and needed place to sleep. Offer was good but the place was just brilliant: very nice old-style restaurant with good foor (they said from the local farmers and fishermen) and a bit different rooms and villas to stay over. The restaurant Piikatyttö offered good meals and the atmosphere generally speaking is relaxing, and the medieval thme is nicely visible in public areas - yet the villas used for accommocation are modern, meeting the requirements of the modern age travelers.
