They have a new concept that gives the extra value and - A lovely, small boutique hotel of just 6 rooms. Very unusual architect-designed house on 3 levels (no lift, if stairs are a problem for you) that overlooks greenery & trees. Lovely sitting-out areas and an excellent, light & airy breakfast room. The breakfast was elegantly served and the food of good quality, especially the breads. Comfortable, stylish, well-furnished and well-lit room. Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay welcoming and comfortable

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The showers were great with lots of hot water. The room was basic with just 2 beds & lockers but very clean. It was a 10 minute walk to Old Town and the tram stops, farmers market and grocery store were all just round the corner. When you get off the tram turn left and walk along Ilica Ave and then ... ce que les gens disent » left again at the very first corner (about 250m from tram stop). The hostel is about 250m down on the left side of the street in a little alcove area - A hostel with ideal location - right in the very center of the city. The room was clean and with the basic facilities. The personel was helpful. It is more suitable for younger people or for open-minded mature couples since there is no option for en suite bathroom. However, the location and the amiable atmosphere make the Brit Hostel a place of choice for Zagreb.

  The hotel itself is quite beautiful. You can see its old world beauty but they have managed to stay modern. Staff is also incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 8:30 a.m. (far ahead of check-in time) due to an early flight.   Me and my friends stayed at this hotel last month for 1 night. We booked a 4 pers. ap. I liked the way it looked but we had no oppening window to the exterior. It was a glass wall, the batheoom had no window and the other room had a small window to the coridor. On the otherhand, I think they have also some pretty cosy ap. and maybe with windows. Liked verry - As business consultant I can tell to all potential visitors coming to ZAGREB: Hotel ILICA - can be a case study for all young hotel managers of how to get benefits from hotel with very limited possibilities. I can recommend it for businessmen, turists who do not like ARTIFICIAL "keep smiling" and prefer very open minded and sincere attitude of hotel staff. These guys really like to serve and help...Nothing to do with trained "robots".

  Absolute breath of fresh air!! This hotel really made my trip to Zagreb special...the staff are ultra nice, attentive, friendly and genuinely appear to love their jobs.
