The staff was very polite and answered all the queries politely. They guided me where and how to go. Staff could speak English very well. I left an item in the Hostel and was not expecting to get it but when contacted the hostel, they responded and confirmed the item was there. They arranged to send it by post to my address.

Hostel is really big, so booking room for 4 people, I was living alone)) Thought I payed for 3 nights, I decided to spend last night at my friends dorm, I didn't even expect the stuff giving me money back, I didn't even ask for that, but they returned the whole sum of money.

There was no way to close the locker, or probably I was supposed to go downstairs and ask stuff how to do that... anyway a bit complicated.

Great size room for the price, TV worked which isn't always the case in Chinese places. Wifi throughout the hostel rather than just in the bar like many hostels offer. Very close to the metro station, loads of shops and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff with good English.

The bathroom, despite looking clean, smelled horrendous, like a public toilet.

The hostel was easy to find, close to 3 metro lines. The room was very clean and the bathroom looked new. Staff speak decent English.

The staff on duty was not very efficient when we got there, seemed to have lost our reservation. Internet connexion is poor. Prices in the bar/restaurant are way too expensive!

We booked like 6 nights here at first, and then extended for 4 nights cuz we liked it so much. The doublerooms are very nice with clean and nice bathroom. Close to metrostation (Caoyang Rd) white can take you everywhere in Shanghai. Good englishtalking staff!

Bedframes, table tops and floors are not wiped regularly. A thick layer of dust diminishes the otherwise pleasant experience.

The lack of ironing facilities and the fact that I had to dart around to avoid condensation droplets from air-cond condenser units whenever I go to put out or retrieve laundry.

Great value close to other places in Shanghai. 10min walk from the metro station.

No wifi in the rooms and the wifi connection available in the lobby is awful, which isn't acceptable to a city like shanghai.

We stopped in two-level luxury. Performance number in very harmonious style, quite convenient. Personnel precautionary, unostentatious. Service good. It is convenient that breakfasts are included, are quite edible: there was a milk, muesli, the Chinese rolls, kissel, toasts, fruit. To me and my family very much everything was pleasant. Thanks for fine rest!

Everything was great! The staff was very friendly, english speaking, helped us in everything/ The room was clean, big and bright. The atmosphere of the hostel is very friendly, feels like home. The breakfast was also good. Many thanks to the reception staff for sending my postcards!!! Otherwise I'd spent half a day trying to find a post office!

The staff at the reception speaks very good english. The bedrooms are simple but confortable and clean the breakfast is included and the expresso (extra 10 rmb and hot chocolate 18 rmb) are very good. Very good value for money

The noise of the bar late in the evening. Ask for a bedroom at the top floors and on the outside.

The staff was very nice and very helpful, especially Chris. Cappuccinos were excellent, made with care by the owner. Chris spoke English very well and gave excellent recommendations for activities.

the staff! not helpful or kind at all! the location is really far from any points of interest in the city, and it takes 2 metro lines to get to the center. The tourist booking center was really aweful - they didn't know anything, and they didn't seem to try very hard.

The price of the room is ok if you get a discount through booking

Far from the center. All of the services are over-priced for captive tourists (laundry, drinks, food, tours...). There's no bath towels, a first time in China, (including in the most remote villages). The 3 stars advertised are obviously self-attributed
