from the subway to go to the hotel is not very busy street
The hotel manager was very helpful. Metro was not very far from the hotel. Internet speed was wonderful, esp. with the wire connection. Free toiletries were nice.
Breakfast should have been better.
Very near to where we had to accomplish what we needed to do in Shanghai. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is very good
The morning breakfast is very poor quality and poor variety. We hope they can improve the internet connections in the rooms.
the rooms were very nice for the price, quite hotel and the staff was very friendly and the best part was the manager at reception could speak English :-). I would definitely stay in this Hotel again
the toilet door got jammed while I was in the bathroom and there is no intercom or phone inside. The hotel should look in to providing a phone in the bathroom same as other hotels.

It takes time to find the hotel, not in a popular location.
Excellent Service throughout our 7N stay. The staff was very helpful at all times. They even wrote down phrases in Chinese for us to order vegetarian dishes in restaurants close by. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The wired internet in the room was very fast and a blessing for us. The WiFi was not as reliable and we faced occasional problems and so stuck to the wired. It was a 5 min or less walk to a metro station of line 4 and a 10min walk to Dongan Road metro station on line 4 and 7. Convenience stores were abundant and a lot of restaurants right next door. We did find some fast food places and much better restaurants a 15-20min walk away. If you dont feel like going out, there is a delivery service with a multi restaurant Menu available at the Hotel. The hotel even provided us with plates and cutlery even though they do not have room service.
-Breakfast was good and overall quite wholesome. I suppose they could have had something more in terms of variety. - they had only green tea in the room. thankfully we were carrying our own tea bags!

we found a hair in the towel but other than that pretty clean!

The hotel is a small but nice building located on the back yard, sorrounded by high buildings. One of the very few hotels in China where the staff spoke English.
Don't pay the deposit by card!!! If you do, you'll get it returned after couple of weeks. When you pay in cash, you'll get it back when you check out.

the manager is very nice and tried to help me get where I needed to go. His English is good.
the location for an ex-pat seeing Shanghai. It's about a 10 minute walk once you get out of the subway off of the south end of line 4, which is in the middle of nowhere for seeing the city. However, it could be good for people who need to stay in that area.
