  This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. WAY better than I was expecting. We had the family room with two bedrooms and one bathroom all to ourselves. The beds were comfortable and had cool headboards. There was a pretty garden, a good cafe with coffee and food and a stiff gin and tonic, and a few nice people hanging around but not too crowded.... ce que les gens disent » It's on a neat little street just next to some major intersections. They let us store our bags overnight when we weren't there, and let us in even wh - I am a huge fan of the Chinese styled architecture in Mingtown Etour. Love love love those cats in the hostel, love the ornate room and love the bar/cafe by the little fish pond. It's been a great experience living in Mingtown. The location is great (right in the middle of Shanghai), you can walk to so many places from there or take the tube so easily - the tube station is just under 10-min walk away!

  This is a choice for accommodation that delivers on multiple aspects. When one thinks of Shanghai, The Bund pops up not long after. This hostel's locations is ideally ON THE BUND!!l!! It offers on a budget what others pay hundreds of US dollars for in other forms of accommmodation. Staff is great, interior is clean, and lots of opportunities to me... ce que les gens disent » et fascinating people from all over the globe. The famous Nanjing Rd is only a few mins walk away. Subway is also not too far from the hostel. I defin - Brilliant location right by the Bund, excellent places to eat nearby. Short easy walk to Metro 10 mins max but lots of cheap taxis at the end of the road. The friendly staff spoke English and gave 5 star service! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a triple room on 4th floor with free wifi in the room and free internet in a computer room on the same floor!! The beds were comfortable and clean, shower powerful and hot. For less than £7 per night per person, in our triple room I have no complain

  I stayed more than a week in the dorm rooms. Overall great experience in comparison to other hostels in China. Nice location, lots of chinese and foreign food options around, and Jing'an Temple is one of the "city centers". Beds were ok, with good blankets and good AC, and the lockers in the rooms are very big. Internet was very reliable and fast ... ce que les gens disent » most of the time (no wifi in the rooms though). They have nice common rooms and an awesome roof terrace, which was great at this time of the year when - Excellent English speaking staff! I was in China for 3 months and heard more English at this hostel then some of the expensive hotels I was in. Everyone was extremely friendly, great for college-aged people if you want to make friends. Staff is willing to suggest places to go and give you directions to get there. There's also delicious western breakfast choices on the rooftop bar from 8am - 12 pm. Extremely safe area. - The hostel sent us a detailed map of how to get there when they sent the e mail confirmation of our booking. We went from the plane from Canada onto the excellent metro to our stop. Very neat location in a houtong (old alley way) with lots of local colour. It is right in the heart of the city and the staff were great. As seniors we had rented a comfortable room with a private bath which was very satisfactory for us.
