  We love what Douglas Fir has to offer our two Granddaughters in terms of facilities(the pool, hot tub and play park). We had a one bedroom chalet which was perfect for us and Douglas Fir provided a playpen and highchair, which meant we did not have to pack them in the car. The surprisingly convenient and well-stocked store on site was also a welcome convenience. The full kitchen and nearby parking were very handy. The location is far enough from town that it is quiet at night, but a close bus ride, short drive, or half hour walk away from the Resort.

  Everything. This was a luxury hotel at a moderate price. Room was large and spacious. It had a soaker tub and separate shower. Bed was so comfortable. It had a pool/Jacuzzi/steam room. It was a short walk (1/2 - 1 mile) to downtown but far enough away from the noise and crowds of downtown shoppers. Complimentary breakfast was good. We were on the 2nd floor and the floors felt heated, not sure if it was from rooms below or actual floor heating. The bathroom is huge, separate tub from glass shower. Thank you to the staff at Charleton Cedar Court.

  restaurant was good and staff was excellent - We really enjoyed our stay and the closeness to all areas. The staff were wonderful, especially when we had a concern about the heat in our room, and the coffee machine was replaced quickly when discovered not working.

When we went down to get them from the parkade, a porter came and found us and told us that the clerk had a room ready for us.
