The staff were very professional, friendly and spoke excellent English - unlike staff at most hotels in Lapa and Glória.
The breakfast service is fairly standard but good.
If you have a room in the back, you have a gorgeous view of Corcovado and you can see the Redentor (barely but still)

The lay-out of the rooms is spacious for Rio, and the AC was nice an -
rooms are clean, with daily room cleaning during your stay, shower hot and good pressure, bed and pillows comfortable, staff speak fluent english and are all very polite and helpful. The location is great, about 700m from metro, bus stops even closer, taxi's driving past front door at any time of day or night, very accessible, walkin distance to arches of lapa, and night life area.

Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Our room on the Ipanema Floor was really lovely, nice modern furnishing and fantastic view of the beach. The hotel restaurant is really good and the breakfast was also excellent.

L'hotel est un 4 etoiles et a ete entierement renove (en realite, les travaux sont toujours en cours). Quoiqu'il en soit, on nous a donne une tres belle chambre, spacieuse, propre, avec un excellent lit, une grande sdb avec baignoire. Dans la chambre, il y a une TV a ecran plat, un minibar et un climatiseur. -

Si vous n' êtes pas trop exigeant sur le confort et la qualité des chambres, c' est surement le seul hotel à Rio où vous pourriez bénéficier d' une vue imprenable sur copacabana à un prix raisonable.

Nous avions la suite duplex, certainement la meilleure chambre au
dernier étage avec balcon et vu sur la mer. Belle chambre, 2 salles de

un très bon compromis plage , shopping resto. Hotel au personnel très abréable a 50m de la plage et 100m des boutiques et restaurants d ípanema. Fin juin toutes les chambres seront rénovés (j´ ai séjourné dans une chambre non rénové) tout a fait correct. Un conseil quand même demandez une chambre en hauteur afin de diminuer le bruit de la ville (nous etions au 9em)

travellers posted on the web. Our room (number 404) was refurbished
recently; the sea view was gorgeous; the breakfast very good. The
receptionist who was on duty the night of our arrival was polite and

Its directly on the beach, sitting in the morning having breakfast

The staff bent over backwards to help me with my extremely poor Portuguese. Location perfect as the Metro Catete is only 3/4 of a block, beach 10-15 min, lots of shopping. -
