The rooms were very very comfortable with the most up to date technology, beautiful bathrooms, and most importantly, very clean. 2. The Flamengo area is a great in Rio de Janeiro to stay, where you can stay at a great hotel, but not pay the price as you would in Copacabana or Ipanema. Restaurants in the area are great and its a safe area. There is also lots of shopping that can be done in Flamengo. 3. The breakfast was enormous with

  Dont let the reviews fool you, this is actually one of the better hotels in Copacabana for the price! We stayed in several 4 star (expensive) hotels that were not any better!!! - I was on the suite azul was so nice the room was big enought and the privat piscine was just perfect with the weather of rio ! Ill get back for my next trip ;)

  This was our second stay in the Monte Alegro. Great location near the Arcos de Lapa. Plenty of supermercados, banks, restaurants in the area. Staff were energetic and knowledgable. Very helpful with taxis and service. Rooms were large and clean. Nice pool area. Very good breakfast. - The staff are very friendly, helpful, and competent.
