Excellent location right in front of the Cathedral and near to bars and restaurants. We had our room upgraded to a larger room overlooking the Cathedral square. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was €5 extra per person per day which was quite reasonable for the area of Antwerp. -

The location was superb - in the heart of Antwerp's lovely old town. The hotel itself was beautiful - lots of interesting and quirky features. Our room - up three flights of steep stairs - but worth it, was large and comfortable and had a fantastic view over the city's rooftops towards the cathedral. We loved it. Loved the unique, quirky, cool feel of the Hotel Matelot. The common rooms had gorgeous design elements: cool chandeliers, a lovely courtyard. Our room was really fun and funky, like a flat with a balcony, great windows, unique beams, very roomy. The hotel was sleek and beautiful and very central. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Everything was great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and breakfast room were really, really nice. The room was great to come to after a hard day of touring and walking. -

Contemporary design. View to museum. Restaurant downstairs. Everything was excelent and not so expensive if to compare with some other this kind of hotels.. Definetly I will stay here also next time. -
Very nice location, with restaurants at close range. Nicely designed rooms. Parking on the street is cheap (compared to Amsterdam!).

The beds were comfy, the kitchenette was very handy, the breakfast was a
bargain and well-supplied, and Paul the owner is a wealth of
information, as well as being a Springsteen fan. Free parking nearby and
a 15-minute walk to the town centre. Would stay again.

Unbelieveable and unique hotel! I have never experienced a similar hotel
before! I think this small hotel only has five rooms and it is a rebuilt
town house designed by two architects. Right next to a beautiful church,
not far from the sights and shopping. When in Antwerpen, you have to
