I don't think you need to look beyond Gasthof Rosslwirt for budget accommodation, cleanliness, comfort, great location, nice breakfast, free wifi (though it is sometimes weak but doesn't really bother you on a holiday as you are there for a trip and not for internet surfing). It is the best choice if you are like being in the country side and also very close by Salzburg, 20-30 minute drive. But I had rathe - Nice farm atmosphere, clean rooms, easy to access from highway. Recommended for travelers who want to visit Salzburg and Salzkammergut area.

  Quite a spacious and, at the same time, cosy apartment with a big bedroom and living room with kitchen, sofa and TV. Part of a nice guest house with courtyard and a little garden. Nicely equipped. Very clean.   The host, Helga, was very nice and gave us a lot of great information about things to do in and around Hallstatt. Would definitely stay there again. - The owner, Helga, was so helpful, breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean and very comfortable, Hallstatt was unbelievably gorgeous
